I tried reducing my plant matter intake, but I found that it wreaked havoc with my digestion. I got very constipated. So, I'll stick with most of my calories coming from animal products, with plant matter added for digestion.

They all can't wait to tell you to fckoff ?What do vegans, carnivores and cross fitters have in common?
MeI am curious though, how many of you actually live on a carnivore diet? As in eating only meat and animal organs, and nothing else?
If you are experiencing any constipation the first thing that you need to do is increase your fat intake. Then make sure you are getting at least 3L of water a day as well as some form of movement, even a 30 min brisk walk. If you are still having trouble try magnesium citrate.I tried reducing my plant matter intake, but I found that it wreaked havoc with my digestion. I got very constipated. Cool, keep us updated on how it goes.
That's just daft. I don't really believe she didn't know this. I'm pretty sure most vegans who take supplements know they are taking supplements to make up for the lack of meat their diets. The few vegans I know reject meat for ethical and compassionate reasons, they are well aware of the risk of malnutrition without supplements.

or just eat fish and drink beer?
Conclusion
Contrary to common expectations, adults consuming a carnivore diet experienced few adverse effects and instead reported health benefits and high satisfaction. Cardiovascular risk factors were variably affected. The generalizability of these findings and the long-term effects of this dietary pattern require further study.
Mine is almost 100% plant based.
I mean even the cows. They eat plants and turn it into steak, so plant based by the time I eat it, right?
So I have been on a mainly animal based diet for about two years now , and I want to do a health check just to be sure I'm not doing any harm.
When I started the diet, I was concerned about vitamin c, so I do comsume a lemon most days.
So I'm thinking of doing the following tests :
C-reactive protein test. (High CRP levels can indicate that there’s inflammation in the arteries of the heart, which can mean a higher risk of heart attack.)
My HDL cholesterol and triglycerides levels. This is to determine my triglyceride/HDL ratio.
(An abnormal ratio of triglycerides to HDL-cholesterol (TG/HDL-c) indicates an atherogenic lipid profile and a risk for the development of coronary disease.)
Vitamin D3 test.
Are there any other test someone would suggest?
It might not be for every body type, but it seems to have cleared up a lot of the Peterson's health issues.
So how is it going 10 months on?
