Cell C speed stick issues

Hi,
I have a CellC MF190 Speedstick. When I plug it in I get the USB drive showing, but the Cell C application says no device. What is wrong?

Try autorun from USB drive (find executable file in autorun.inf). It will start installation program and reinstalling drivers.

If you have internet access download the latest drivers/firmware from CELL C website. If I recall correctly MF190 is ZTE/Nokia I do recall reading somewhere something about license issues and the latest firmware fixes this.

The "Connect" problem with the Huawei 1820 speed stick can be solved as follows for Mavericks:

Plug in the speed stick, and wait until the "Connect" button is showing. Go to System Preferences > Network. Select the Huawei stick in the left column. Leave "Location" as "Automatic". Set "Configuration" to "Default". Enter *99# for "Telephone Number". Press "Connect". Tick "show modem in status bar. Thereafter, whenever the stick is taken to it's "Connect" stage, pressing "Connect" should work - if it does not, then open "Network" on the Menu Bar, and press "Connect" there.

This method might also work for other Cell C speed sticks that won't Connect.

MF190 connection issue Cell C

I tried going online using my cell c speed stick but when i clicked on it a weird message came up. It said "The Automatic License Procedure Has Failed. The software is now disabled"

how is this possible. Now i cant even get into the cell c connector. Please help me cos im worried the data bundles I bought will expire

I have the same issue -- upgraded my macbook OS to Yosemite and suddenly couldn't use my dongle. The Cell C connection window won't open and I can't find a way to fix this!!
Please help!

I have had the same issue. Have just upgraded my mac to Yosemite and the Cell C connecter is not working. I went to a Cell C store today. They said that they don't have software upgrades for the Nokia CS-19 anymore - they must send it away to be upgraded! What nonsense is that. The sales guy suggested I buy a new modem!! When I phoned Cell C Technical help, I was told that the Nokia CS-19 is definitely compatible with Yosemite. Anyone have an answer please!
