Cheaper 3G Prices - Rep?

Was previously announced in Sunday press together with new deals for the month. Tomorrow is the first Sunday for December and a good time to get people to make 'decisions' before christmas.

Although, looking at the word Christmas, it does not contain any V but it starts with a ©

How much data business is Vodacom losing to the new Cell C promotion?

A month or so on and it's interesting that neither Voda nor MTN have chosen to respond to Cell C's bargain data promotion (R999 for 12 x 2GB). I wonder how much business they are losing from this?

I certainly know three VC customers who have now made the switch, and if there's no matching offer from VC or MTN next week commonsense says I will be joining them. At that price, how can I not?

Surprising not to have a price-cutting announcement before Christmas?

I don't think VC and MTN mind losing a bit of business to Cell C. They are still raking it in because of the high mark-ups.

Among business associates, family and friends I am aware of more than 20 5Gb packages and around the same number 2Gb packages - so it isn't that bad. A friend of mine resisted the temptation because he like having his VC simcard in his notebook. We were on Google Earth yesterday afternoon on his notebook, but it was so slow we gave up. I then whooshed to the places on my notebook - his expression was something to see! He just came back from the Cell C store with his new modem...
 
They've lost at leat 6 gigs from be because I now top up my Cell C sim instead of my VC sim..

Yeah, if you compare to cell c there are quite a similar number of complaints per day.
But Vodacom do have more, don't know how much customers they have compared to cell c though.

One of the cell-c guys I talked to say that the internet sticks were being sold fast and they're bringing in more to sell, good but if this results in a slower network
then I'm worried.
