Cheaper 3G Prices - Rep?

It'd be worried if I were Vodacom, there are more and more messages like these coming through.

My 24 month contract was supposed to end on 3/06/2010. Luckily I phoned Vodacom yesterday to confirm that this is the case. They had not set my contract up to be cancelled...so they would've kept billing me if I didn't call. Well, after chatting a bit to the consultant, my contract is set to expire on 31/05/2010. Signed up with Mweb yesterday as well. Waiting for telkom to do ADSL activiation.

That is standard, once the contract lapses you automatically go into month to month unless you either cancel the contract or renew it for another 24 months.
 
Hey Vodacom, how about some feedback as to when prices are going to drop (and then DROP THEM!) - us loyal subscribers will stick around if you throw us a scrap every now and again :P
But mark my words, more and more of us are going to jump ship to ADSL and / or other networks if you continue to treat us like we don't matter - and in this changing Broadband climate in South Africa, the sooner you realize that the better for all of us.
We may not matter all that much to your profits right now, but data is becoming more and more important, the first rule of maintaining a healthy company is holding onto the clients you already have.

I can second that. If I get a decent WISP connection this month, I will be out of here. I can't wait. For the price of MyGig 2.5 (R 469.00) I can get uncapped 512 access.

Holding thumbs that I can get decent signal... No more suprise bills because your computers decided it needed to update.....

Well Telkom came round this morning to install my ADSL...:D:):p:whistle::eek::cool:
Got a 25GB 4Mbps line from WebAfrica. Best move all year.

As for my Vodacom its still got 8 months... so thats why I dropped it down to the package at R159.:whistle:
Anyways now I am only paying about R159 more then I was for 3GB now I have 250 + 25GB

Why don't you just cancel the Vodacom contract? Or does that work out to be more expensive?

You are expected to pay up in full for the remaining months even if you get no use out of it. Getting out of a cell contract before it's due date is an expensive exercise.

Yes, because, haha, everyone knows, haha, for a fact, haha, that vodascum has only, haha, improved greatly, haha, over the last few weeks/months/years, haha

Just trying to illustrate here that I doubt anyone can say that with a straight face, after having dealt with your company's idea of cutting edge technology and competitive pricing.

Anyone noticed that the bundles still have not been updated on Vodacom4me?
 
I agree, I am sick and tired of my 2GB per month because paying R1000 for 5GB is just too much!

Come on Vodacom drop prices already, otherwise you are going to loose customers!

Already lost me as a 3g customer.
 
Any new info will all be added to the vodacom.co.za site ,the vodacom4me site is still going to be decommissioned.

Is this a joke? In any case, there was a promise made that v4me will stay fully functional until that new mess will become functional... To me that means all info should be reliable, up to date and relevant.
