Im very disapointed in telkomsa adsl sistem,and serves.24 March.made my aplication for Broadband Level 3(data volume up from 5GB to 9GB)(extra 4GB for free)Only R554 PM,BARGEN.After 3.5 weeks i went to telcom direct office,and ask them what is the hold u?,1rst anser,need a sampel nomber,i seplide telkom with 4 nombers.2nd story,no adsl conections,3rd story,no strucsel in that aria,street or complecs.I went to telkom direct office,and i spoce to a lady about the nonsens im geting from telkom,and she send them the prove of the nomber in that aria,only then telkom pust the aplication forverd.On the 21st a technision from telkom cam out to instole my adsl modem,came back on the 22nd to get it raning,but no luck,same as the 21st.On 23rd thy came back to finish the setup,and thy phoned me to converm conection 100% up and raning.Cam home,tested the adsl,enternet,email's,fond it is slow.updated my PC programe's,enternet gone,phone telkom 10219,to find out that im on 1GB cap.I was shoct and upset.24th went totelkom,and told them,and thay set itback as what i origenaly aplide for.Sens the 24th im be ing bateling to yous the net,or opening my e mail's,modem lihts flasing like a disco,enternet on off,on off,and were it take's you normely 2.5 houers to down load saome products,it took me from 06:00 to 02:00 the morning.It take's from 1mined to 30 mineds for a programe to open.Wene u phone for help you get stuct from one nomber to the next,and ref nombers after the ather.27th telkom told me thy will send a technision out to sortout the problem,still wating.mi cell phone bill going to be hi becorse trihing to sortout the problem when im at work,and thes on and of whil you down load,it slorterd miGB,4.5GB off,and im boiling on that,my Vodacom modem,did not even bomd out on me so mutch.IS TELKOM PRODUCS AND SEREVESES REALY SO GOOD AS WHAT THY ADVERTIS.I hope that some one out there,can do sumthing about thes.

Well,you are not the only one to experience Telkum at its best. My story was pretty similar to yours. Unqualified staff (affirmative action employment ?!? jobs for friends and family) and not taking pride in the work they are doing = TELKOM 2011
Oh, and I suggest you use a spelling program or something because not all of us have the necessary intelligence to "brain format" your post. - (To the chaps who can not read the OP: You are instantly disqualified as a teacher in the "previously disadvantaged schools")

It's more like not having the patience to read through that than not having the necessary intelligence. Guess my patience would instantly disqualify me too

Phone Telkom, tell them you want to cancel the contract you signed. If they give you hassles go to a Telkom Direct store and give them proof that you have at least 4 brain cells, and understood a word of what you were signing. If you fail to prove this, which you will, then tell them you can't afford to pay R554 p/m because you need to pay for evening classes.
PS: Sorry Telkom has given you the run around. I can't help but think how frustrated any of the agents were that you spoke to. If you cannot articulate yourself properly then unfortunately you should expect that people are confused and cannot work with your requests properly. The call center is so useless that an encounter with someone as inarticulate as you could well send the entire operation into hyper-drive. I wish you the best of luck in securing your ADSL; but I suspect that any of the usefulness the internet has to offer will be lost on you anyway. Do yourself a favor and cancel now.

Take it easy on the glue-sniffing and lay off the Mxit-speak. Like the other posters said, Telkom call center agents aren't exactly the best and the brightest in the first place, they have a hard time understanding normal people. So if you go on rambling like an escaped mental patient what do you expect?
