I find lolping.org a bit unreliable in terms of testing ping in LOL. How is in game latency for you, do you get any rubber banding? I see CISP don't peer with Riot Games at LINX so maybe something for them to look into.

lolping.org i found to be 100% accurate to my in game ping. Normally its fine it just between 19:30 and 21:00, And yeah there is some rubber banding, sometimes i only see hp drops when i stand still and no idea whats going on.But yeah a peer with Roit Games would be awesome since that is my main use for the internet

My Xbox network stats looking solid this morning.

@PBCool: In order to make your life as easy as possible, and to provide you with the most useful information in order to narrow down on the cause of problems, what are the steps that we can take, tools that we can use and information that we can provide that would be most effective?

I also experienced massive packet loss last night ~8pm whilst gaming WoW and Diablo 3 (D3 is especially bad). I am on Vuma Aerial (Fibrehoods) in an area with very little fibre uptake as of yet, so I doubt it's local congestion. Around 10pm is was fine again.
Yeah we do an Iperf test to a few locations on our network and then London as well. So that gives you an idea of throughput latency and packet loss on TCP and UDP. Our biggest issue is packet loss and most of the time it's on the PON side.

Our burst capacity starts at 7PM, I can reach out and get the peer up but HE more than likely does which is basically the same thing just one more hop away. Are you on a PON network?

Vumatel - Blairgowrie - wired.

460 ms to LOL EUW,

Is there a known problem?

It is a wired connection, directly with router.

Local speeds are full line speed up and down.

Vumatel trenched, Durbanville. Not sure what more info you need to be able to asist.

I still cant get anything higher than 5 Mbps upload speeds to international servers, 50 mpbs download.

If this remains, I could just as well downgrade to lower package...

Is it possible that I am capped to 50/5 Mbps on international traffic?

I'm still getting full 100/100 Mbps local.

What service are you downloading and uploading to?

Got this reply just now from tech support. I don't believe they understand the problem.

I would rather want them to acknowledge the problem, even if it takes some time to resolve. Suggesting that it is "normal", just peeves me off...

Hi, Leon

Unfortunately we can't guarantee anything close to a 1:1 contention ratio on international traffic, however we do try to stay ahead of our competitors when it comes to speeds. You'll most likely see anything from 10:1 to 30:1 when our networks are at their peak. During our quieter times, you might even see a 2:1 contention ratio.

Please keep in mind that these speeds are dependent on the server that you are downloading from and various other factors such as latency and TCP buffer do come into play.

Please do feel free to let us know if you do find anything particularly slow on international traffic as we'll always try investigate to try and get you the best speeds we can.

I have been advised to ask you to take another speedtest. Please go to www.speedtest.net and choose the Cool Ideas Randburg Server. Once this is done, please begin the test and take a full screen screen shot showing that it’s over a cable.
I have attached a manual to do so.

We need this so that we can determine if it is a wireless issue or if it’s a line issue.

Kind regards
