Additionally, my smokeping graphs to JHB from CPT looks much better since the 10G upgrade between the 2 destinations, no more packet loss, from the little that was there :)

Edit: Awesome cant wait for international switchover :)

Great stuff, we see the same. Sorry for the delays.

Have switched default outbound.

@PBCool Not sure if this has been requested before but could you post a Speedtest result from your office/on your network.

The nerd in me is curious to see your guys speed :D

Yay!

Definitely see an improvement on 100Mbps line.

http://www.dslreports.com/speedtest/26853448

It does spike to 100Mbps during the test for upload. In the past I could only get up to 70Mbps without changing the time.

Edit: Note, unfortunately not wasn't idle at the time of testing, so speeds definitely affected but that was by far my best upload speed thus far.

We have 10Gbps at the office but dont really have a desktop with 10Gbps interfaced into the network, so would just be a 1Gbps result really. But I am planning on one to MyBBs server as they have 10G into the peering fabric at Isando.

So yesterday pulled Nintendo's Fire Emblem Warriors for the Switch. Overall consistent download speed ran at about 20-27Mbits/sec for several things being downloaded:
a file on a PC, the 13 GB game and an SD TV stream according to the Mikrotik RouterOS interface.

I don't know if Nintendo use local servers, but that was pretty much that.

I'm suspecting that maybe it's the cheapo TP LINK router I'm using - could that be underpowered to deliver 100Mbit speeds from international sources? I have an Apple Airport Extreme 5th gen, that has a 1.5GHz CPU and allows PPPOE so maybe I should try to use that as my router?

The TPLink can route 100Mbps no problem. I doubt it was from a local source.

7 threads to news.is.co.za works for me. So you will only get 10-15Mbps from it unfortunately. Once you use a paid provider, you can get 40-100 threads which easily maxes 100Mbps.

Was there a Vumatel Outage in Tamboerskloof today?

Couldn't VPN into my network to check and got alerts that UniFi equipment at a few friends went offline.

@PBCool

Think at this point will have to be logged with Octotel something is very wrong on my side on international upload

http://beta.speedtest.net/result/6889183234

Upload stays the same download goes anywhere from 40Mbps to 187Mbps but have noticed i get packetloss on the first hop to CI when doing upload tests also on DSLReports getting bufferfloat of upto 20MS on upload none on download no loss reported to RB3011UiASM

Yeap would be line or OLT congestion more than likely.

@PBCool I'm having intermittent connection issues on SADV. Can't stream properly, it buffers and then keeps disconnecting...

3 emails with no reply to either since the 12th - clearly you don't want my business.

Cancelling my order.
