There were some reports from MFN but they were apparently all resolved. Seems not so.

I am also experiencing very slow international speeds with packet loss, on 200mbps Vumatel fibre.

Example traceroute to www.yahoo.com, it seems there is a problem on the 3rd hop. Not sure if this is Vumatel or Cool Ideas related.

NNTP extremely slow. Not getting past 1Mb/s (8Mbps). Normally at least getting 23Mb/s during the day. Still seems like Vumatel congestion in Cape Town. All started after the router issue/upgrade.

Vuma trenched Durbanville.

A random spike in a trace is fine, if you saw the latency compile from that hop that means there is an issue. But you can see at hop 4 it's fine.

Thanks PBCool, you are telling me all fine, Vumatel says all fine and why am I getting max 5% of my line speed to international servers than? I cannot stream or use any international service since Saturday...

Do these speeds look fine on a 200mbps package? I am in Weltevreden Park, Vumatel.

As mentioned in the mail I didn't say all is fine, there is packet loss on your line. When Vumatel "checks" a line all they do is check optical levels that's it. We will be escalating your issue with Vumatel also as mentioned in the mail.
I know this is frustrating but as an ISP we don't have control of the quality or layer2 network.
