I have everything set up 100% but it really performs exactly the same if maybe a little worse on the 50 package.
The 25/25 seems to be the sweetspot
I have also tested using something with thousands of seeds.
It definitely does not go over a 25 mb line speed

Yeah, my personal belief is torrents are being throttled.

On a side note, is their an issue with international this morning? Bit flaky my end...

We don't throttle any protocol, please define "flaky"

Do you perhaps shape or manage p2p?

Some international web pages were slow to render and/or timing out. Was very brief though. Just long enough for me to post about it and then sorted...

We don't shape or throttle any protocol as advertised.

Interestingly enough, I'm not getting the same issues as you guys.

Downloaded 2 torrents today and both were averaging around 50-70mbps on my 100mbps line - not full line speed but certainly not limited to 25mbps.

Perhaps something else at play here?

Yeah. torrents are a bit of a anomaly. I can't remember a period, on any ISP, where they've come down at max line speed. That's why a seedbox is imperative if you want anywhere between 80%-95% of max line speed.

No idea but do not get above a 30mb or 25 mb line speed on highly seeded files

I can definitely max out my 100/100 Mbps Cool Ideas connection on torrent(s) (in both directions), but this depends a lot on the configuration of your torrent client, size of the swarm, etc. On large torrent swarms you will often get poor speeds because your client (and everyone else's client too) can only maintain connections with so many peers, and all of those peers combined may not add up to enough throughput as many people have very poor (2 Mbps or less) upload speeds. There will be peers with faster upload speeds, but the larger the swarm is, the lower the chance is that you'll be downloading from them.

No problem I hope it helps
What are your speeds like ?

Ive been away from home over the last couple of days so havent been able to check.

Speeds have been much better recently. Running Firestream/Metrofibre - 25/25.

Edit: But I stream a lot of content and I experience a lot of buffering especially in the evenings, so I was considering switching. Not sure if it will make a difference.

Haven't experienced any buffering on the 25 or 50 package

I guess the speed also depends on the server I'm streaming from but the buffering has persisted during weekdays evenings in particular. It could also be a metrofibre issue. I'm just a bit hesitant to switch and experience the same issue, since the fibre line will still be on the metrofibre backbone.

Want to send me the stuff and I can test?
