1.1.1.1 and 1.0.0.1 was acting up earlier, not sure if that could play a roll.
I swithced back to the ISP assigned DNS's and all was back to normal for me, accept these slow downloads from local mirrors and CDN's I expiernce from time to time.

Yeah saw the same here.

For May or June?
June invoice should arrive tomoorow, CISP invoice on the 1ste working day of each new month. CISP invoicing works different to other ISP's where you get your invoice between the 20th - 25th of a month.
Odd, got mine a couple days ago

Fibre with CISP up and running. Seeing a huge 30ms drop in fortnite which is insane. Does my bill arrive at month end for June?

Great news :), If it went live this morning your invoice will be issued this morning/today.

Yeah just kiddn, Invoices get generated over a period of time overnight usually :), be patient you will get one.

There is a delay on the invoice generation, the accounts department are busy with it.

So thought i'd try CISP since i've been hearing such good things about them. Cancelled my Fibre package, Vuma moved me into holding pool midnight last night so thought i'll activate my new package via shop.vumatel.co.za. Sent in my activation request and then phoned CISP to assist with activation just to be told I need to complete a sign up request on the CoolIdeas website which is not possible if your fibre has been cancelled since everything gets redirected to shop.vumatel.co.za. Im disappointed, thought the activation would be smoother

Previous time I activated a product on Shop.vumatel.co.za i didnt have to do anything, the account and network were provisioned within an hour.

You just need to order our package via shop.vumatel.co.za and it will automatically activate, of course we want you to complete our application beforehand but it's not required.

Thats strange, cause I phoned about 30 minutes after I ordered the package from shop.vumatel.co.za and I was told by the support agent that I need to complete one on your website as well. Is there anyway you can check on the status of activation? Can PM you info you need.

Yeah sometimes the Vumatel provision takes some time, you can PM me your object number if you have and I can take a look?

Been with CISP for just over a month.

Have not had one stitch of trouble.

Other than win10 not handling the packet scaling for some reason properly to show me the full 50mbs upload speed, it's been smooth sailing.

Love it.

OOoooo, mine always arrives on the first working day of a month, so thought it was the norm..... maybe the invoicing is "staggered" so to not overload the system. I am sure CISP must have a fair amount of customers to invoice. :D

I dont think the issue was with CISP, I think its with Vumatel.

I did an upgrade from 20/20 to 100/100 for the 1st of the month. In the past that would happen at about 20 minutes past midnight. Today it only happened 5:22am according to emails from my monitoring system that the line reset at that time.

Vumatel probably just have a large queue now to process on the 1st of the month, and its probably for the whole country and not region specific.

I was just filling in your online application form. last page wants a debit order. For month to month contracts I am not that keen on such and prefer to push the money to you rather than you debit me. Any thoughts?

You can also elect to use payfast but obviously are more at risk for penalties and disconnects if payments aren't made in time.

Why the hell is there such a big price difference between FTTB and FTTH? I'm talking from the perspective of a small business owner. What small business can afford R10k for a 100Mbps account? I've often heard that business fibre isn't contended, there's 99% guaranteed up time, static ip etc etc etc but other than static ip that's pretty much how home fibre performs. Then I've heard it's the installation costs! WTF?

I really want to get fibre for my business. We use 200gb-250gb a month, don't need 1:1 contention ratios, don't need guaranteed up time, don't need static ip and don't need full duplex systems. Why the hell can we not get a FTTH solution for under R2k a month???!

I was just talking to someone who is very unhappy at getting screwed with going FTTB on Cool Ideas. They work from home but can't claim the connection as an expense if it isn't invoiced to the business. The price difference is really extreme.

They are different markets and solutions, you need to remember the networks are built very differently as well for this reason. You can imagine that DFA builds 5000kms of fibre and services a few thousand businesses vs Vumatel doing the same and servicing a million homes?

Your home line goes down and doesnt come up for 2 weeks, which we've had with home providers vs a 4hr business SLA.

There is a massive market for the Small Business Fibre, which is basically what Neobroadband tries to address, something in-between.

PBCool having some trouble getting a hold of you guys.

Trying to activate a new installation, VUMA canceled the previous tenant's this morning. Phone menu just loops (not responding to iPhone key presses) and emails not tended to yet :(

If they are less than 5 users they can go for home, and it can be billed to the business.

Also they can claim even if it's billed to their personal detail from the business if they are an employee, it's allowed by SARS.
