This really all depends on the line provider, we don't get the installation schedule from Telkom we get told once the line is handed over as I mentioned. We aren't allowed to chase them until this happens, it's part of their MSA. This is why we are hesitant to issue accounts and start billing as you can imagine.I call yesterday at 7PM - connect wasn't there, I was told to me.
No response by 11AM so I called... they called back
They said they needed Telkom to do something --- good customer service would chase Telkom after they did the scheduled install... (i.e. 3 days ago).
Nothing for a few hours -- I get an email saying they are sending a new router...
I call AGAIN - tell them I don't need a new router, I already have one of yours. Am told "okay we will email you details in 10 mins"
NOTHING received...
It gets to 5:05 and I realise they haven't sent... so I call... too late... try again Monday!
Come on guys, get your act together. If YOU need to do something after Telkom visit, then set a reminder in your calendar, rather than waiting for upset customers (upset mainly by moving house, rather than by you... until of course the internet doesn't work!)
Maybe I was just VERY lucky last time I moved and you guys were ALL over it.
Other line providers are more efficient in letting us know the line is ready and handed over.
The fact you didn't get a response is unacceptable I agree. But most of these delays are the line provider not sticking to protocol. We deal with 25 networks so believe me when I say it.
I am glad you are online with a temp account for the weekend at least, I will have your account issued asap.
