Should be more then enough for my specific use i stream to Twitch/Youtube at the same time and run a few servers at home currently i have a 50/20 MBps Wireless connection and it's not cutting it i stream at 1080p60 so it consumes about 10-12MBps on its own then you get to 4k Youtube uploads and files get rather large so depends on what you use it for. Normal torrents should be fine you should get a solid 2MB/s upload with enough peers and around 9.8MB/s on steam downloads if not more! so hence more traffic down would suit your purpose! you can always upgrade later if its not enough

thanks for the input!

But holy cow you use a lot of upload bandwidth, lol.

Yeah I need more downstream power as my parent watch internet TV all day long, my wife and son watches youtube, one on tv one with tablet and I game and download.

Awesome.

Might have to change my package now...cause I couldn't think of potential usage on upload speed and don't want to waste its potential.

@PBCool , just a couple questions:

My Vumatal line is being installed on 25 July. Should I order from your website before the installation or will this just confuse the process? I know that you can order the service through the Vumatal portal once the line is in, so is there a benifit to ordering on the CISP website too?

Thanks :)

Yes so then we have all the details ready once we get notice the line is in.

@PBCool

Dont understand your call center. Staying in a complex where we have SADV as backbone.

Im still on SADV (havent had time to move), neighbor is on CISP at my recommendation.

Their internet is down from last night and your call center is saying its a fault from SADV. Yet SADV are saying everything is fine on their end and my internet is still fine. SADV can connect to the router(neighbors)

So who is lying?

Not sure, you can PM me the details of your neighbor and I can investigate. Who from SADV told you everything is fine for your neighbor? In these scenarios they don't field calls directly usually.

So more than likely a miscommunication not specifically a lie, remember if we had an issue all our SADV customers would be affected. So if it's just one it's relative to the layer2 back to us which SADV manage.

Got sorted. Neighbour recalled Cisp and mentioned that sadv said everything is okay. And they, the Cisp agent, managed to sort the issue.

Don't know all the details. Just very strange.

Yeap so as mentioned the only thing it could be is A) Line Fault or configuration issue from SADV, B) Account suspended due to non payment C) Router or cable issue.

Often lots of people reset their routers back to default as well thinking it's rebooting/resetting the router.

@pbcool

We had fibrehoods do the complex. If i want to sign up on cisp must u choose vuma now?

@PBCool

Any chance you could hurry the Support Dept along to get this sorted before the weekend starts, please?

Thanks!

I did the online application as requested (after showing interest on the Octotel site), they claim my area will be live around September. Should I be expecting any further feedback from CISP, or will that only happen once a definite date has been provided by the fibre installer?

Once the installation date is scheduled and the line installed we get communication from Octotel that it's ready, from there we would engage with you re sending router and account details etc.

Thank you Paul,

I received a response at 15:44 and still wanted to come post a "disregard above post" - am now sitting with a support ping-pong due to authentication failure.

No luck yet? PM me

@PBCool - why can't I pick up Cool Ideas as an ISP on the TTConnect network?

Is TT Connect down again? Haven't had internet since yesterday afternoon? Also logged a ticket yesterday but no response yet...
