Bit of a forward question. What's CISPs plans for openserve price cuts?

We are busy with them :). More relative to the entry level packages to be honest.
 
Yes so just to add to this, the packet loss last night on Vumatel network (Active ethernet) was resolved completely at about 22:00, it started getting better just after 20:30 or so.

Vumatel aerial and Fibrehoods are affected by the DFA break so you should have degraded or no connectivity until the repairs are completed.

Does the Fibrehoods issue affect all areas or only certain areas?
 
So, when is to early to start applying with Cool Ideas fibre package, Vumatel started digging in my area this week:D

You can apply with both us and Vumatel so long as they are taking preorders.

Just wanted to describe my positive experience aquiring fibre from Fibrehoods and CISP back in July:
1. 1 June. First notified Fibrehoods on their portal that, according to their coverage map, my new home falls under their fibre coverage and if my complex was fibre ready.
I also noted on there that I would only be able to access my new home from the 2nd July, but actually move -in on the 15th so would like fibre installed and ready by then if applicable? They noted all of this and told me my complex is ready.
2. 1 July: Get a call from Edward at CISP who informs me that they are now able to proceed with the installation and if my timelines were still currrent. At the same time get a call from Salome from Britelink asking me the same. I say yes, please book a team for Friday the 7th and it was confirmed.
3. 7 July. Team one comes in (a bit late after they had a flat tire getting to me) and installs fibre into my residence via a manhole that, thankfully, was just a few metres from my front door in the complex. They pulled the fibre cable through the same conduit as the Telkom line into my living room and installed the ONT/CPE box. This process took around 1.5 hours. The 2nd team arrived that same day and did the splicing and took around 45 mins. Fascinating process. By the afternoon of that same day they were done. No problems and the install teams left my place as clean as they found it.
4. By 11th July Cool Ideas called and said that the remote config was done by Britelink and, lo and behold, all green lights were on my Zhone box (it was actually already done on the 9th as I was checking the lights constantly each and every day in-between) .
The bog standard TP Link router was couriered to my door, and, after pluggin it into the ONT - no lights on the TP link.
Looked like a DOA PSU or unit. :(
But, not to worry, I had my trusty Asus N66u router and just plugged the cat5e cable into its WAN port, emailed support for my PPP credentials and was up and running with 50/50 fibre before my move-in date of the 15th!! :D
Just want to say thanks to all the parties involved and so far, so good.

Hi PBCool. Already swapped out @ your offices thanks.
The Asus provides better throughput and coverage though in my particular home.
May just use it as an AP though?

Hi. Not feedback but more of an inquiry. So Vodacom has bought out Evotel in Greenstone Hill (or at least in my estate (Pebble)) and their package pricing sucks. Please do whatever you can to get onto their 3rd party ISP list so that I can sign up with you ASAP.

Yup, have an option for Vodacom fibre as well, and their pricing is probably 40% more then Cool Ideas with data caps in place. Not sure if they offer open access though.

Vodacom's 3rd party ISP list on their application form shows a few ISP's but none that are in my area. I'm hoping Cool Ideas can reach an agreement with them.

Vodacom aren't offering open access as yet, they only offer resell of their packages unfortunately.
