Have been getting really slow file downloads the last couple (2?) days. 100Mbps fiber. Streaming seems ok.

View attachment 535937

Not just this download, but this is a typical speed. :(
Which fibre network? Please all specify this kind of thing when posting. If we had a network related issue or capacity on our side we would know about it.

And you have bypassed your router for the same tests? All we can do is chase MFN which usually doesn't happen quickly. But will try get some feedback tomorrow.

Looks like IS is announcing AWS stuff as "local" services, but if I filter that out the latency is even higher via Amazon's own network. So will dig a bit deeper.

Thanks! This is affecting Fortnite, so is of major importance. ;)

Edit: well it's back down to 160ms now.

Thanks for the response, sorry but I don't understand the first question?

I have set the DNS now to 1.1.1.1 ; restarted router and here is the speedtest result:

- nothing changed, at 5Mbps

What DNS are you using?
NYtimes and fastly cdn stuff goes to JHB for me. Yours goes to London for some reason.

Hello.
Was and have been using SmartDNS jhb server for months without issue since last week, have changed just now to 1.1.1.1 and shared result.

Why not just use default DNS servers?

Anybody having issues with HTTP downloads? Just had to reinstall windows and although my windows is updating at full speed, any HTTP downloads (latest Nvidia drivers, mobo drivers, etc etc) is at a crawl. Just me?

1. SmartDNS to access SlingTV - was working fine for months without issues.

I changed settings to obtain DNS from ISP, reboot - here is speedtest:
http://www.speedtest.net/result/7463151103.png @9.44pm

will keep the settings, and send results for off-peak.
DNS won't do much to Speedtest results, posts are getting crossed here. Your issue seems to be congestion related somewhere.

PS my latency issue is still not resolved since last week and nobody is getting back to me on that either to be honest....
Evotel say there are no issues to report, you are testing over cable in those results to confirm?
