Hard to say, is this on all streams from all locations? Can you PM your IP? And what result do you get on an international speedtest to London?

PBCool

Doesn't matter what game I stream, or who I watch. All twitch streams do the same thing.

Currently not at home, but will try remember to send you those details a bit later.

Just to add, I game a lot as well. EU based games are mainly Quake Champions/ Dota2 and Fortnite. I get ~150 ping to EU with no packet loss. No drops in games etc, always stable.

Issue is 100% resolved on our side, your ongoing issue we still need the test results for.

Hi PBCool, I provided the test results in the ticket I logged (COOL-20180712-123192) aswell as results from my seedbox host, here's their feedback:

###
I ran some diagnostics against your IP and i can see a lot of packet loss from all of our available routes, originating at the edge routers of your ISP's network.

This means that your ISP is congested, so rerouting would not help at this point. I am attaching some screenshots from the diagnostics for you to see the packet loss. (Loss% column)
###

I can provide a list of all the upstream providers you use, maybe it can assist in improving peering with them?

Thanks I have had a look, they are returning their route via HE which is incorrect as we peer with their transit at LINX, this is what an MTR looks like from our side for instance:

Which shows loss within their network, I have reached out to their transit to resolve the routes and peering and we can see from there.

Thanks. Sorry meant I can provide a list of all the upstream providers *they use, maybe it can assist in improving peering with them?

We've setup bilateral peering with them now at LINX, so see if a trace back to us is any different?

Random question. I'm currently on a Vox Openserve capped line. If I want to switch to cool ideas uncapped, how long will I have to wait and what would my downtime be like? I have my own router etc. PBCool

Hi there, so long as the process is managed there should be no downtime. You need to cancel the service with Vox and have them put your line in the holding pool. Get your B circuit number from them at the same time which will assist in the move.

What is the B circuit number? Is it the same as the Fibre line number?

What are the costs related to moving over?

Could be. In the openserv support tools (at least in the past, no idea if still the same), adsl and ftth is viewed in the same tools, and instead of the phone number for adsl, to view the ftth line, you would have a number that has B and bunch of digits. Always starts with a B and called a circuit number.

B number is associated to your circuit, you should be able to get this from Vox. There are no costs to move.

Their response:

Their response does not make sense. They are talking about the inbound / outbound route as if it needs to be the same.

We have multiple routes to reach their network and the active one right now is NLix.
Also the packet loss that they might have seen to our network is because of the ping limiters our routers have and not actual packet loss.

I'm not sure what they have setup for the bilateral peering they said but of course it's not going to work unless we change the route from our side.

If you want to try the route through LINX as your ISP suggested, do the speedtest again and reroute through the I3D upstream.
###

I've changed the routing as they recommended, will see if performance has improved this eve. Thanks for your help with this, I'm sure there are far more important things that require your attention :P

Thank you so much Cool Ideas team, Frogfoot finally sorted my line and I'm a happy camper! :D
