Yep, something really wrong on CISP/VUMA tonight.

Getting an average of 25% or more packet loss to all sites, local and international (and international is definitely worse).

Having the same issue hard to explain but it happens

Only been with Cool Ideas for about 2 weeks but have noticed it happen a few times (not enough to be unusable but annoying when it happens). Happened in Fortnite (EU servers) where ping jumped from 170 to 900-1000ms for a few seconds and then comes back down. Also happened in FIFA yesterday (SA servers) where I could only get 1 bar latency. Left it and came back in a few hours when it went back to normal (full 5 bar latency)

Can you give me more info like location and time of day when it happens?

Seems to be peak times again although it's bad now at 22:20, openserve jhb. Not sure if tonight is the best day to test because it seems a lot worse than usual and other people seem to be having issues too but this is what mtr looks like to cisp.co.za and csgo game server at about 22:15 tonight.

Sorry for the delay in response, there is an ongoing issue with a cross connect to Vumatel that has been mitigated for now. We are implementing new LAGs to Vumatel which I am pushing for this week alternatively next week as a permanent fix.

Is this for Vumatel CPT or one of the other regions?

and thank you for much!

What is the service impact of this issue?

I did check the cisp.co.za site but I don't see anything regarding it - I've been trying to diagnose international speed issues on my line but not sure whether to disregard my test results or not :P

The report will be posted today, the impact would be packet loss and increased latency for about an hour last night.

Yes last night was very bad had to eventually use 4G tried fortnite up and down went to Call of Duty and that was even worse have no idea how they going to solve this issue but it's super annoying.

2 bar in Call of Duty that means 200ms to 500ms (widgetdamage)

Yeah, this is getting out of hand to be honest.... PBCool I see you mentioned Vumatel, what about Evotel? Do they share infrastructure? Why was I affected in North Riding last night?

Evotel goes through AEx so they share the layer2 backhaul.

Ok that makes sense, today is not fantastic either btw, still experiencing ping spikes
There aren't any issues currently, do you know where the ping spikes are hapoening on your path?
