Yeap exactly correct.

Thanks. Just to confirm, the network architecture will be:

Fibre Network Termination Point -> Calix 801G (Layer2) -> Router (CISP / Own Router).

People on MFN that get the 813G (Layer3) are those who go with MFN or a reseller as an ISP - whereas CISP will give me a Layer 2 801G and a router / the ability to use my own router?

You applied with us, so log the ticket with us. Usually once the line is ready we will get a notice from SADV. We then issue your username and password. But drop a mail to [email protected] if you need any info or to follow up :)

Thanks man, I did log a ticket this morning. Yet to receive any response.

Got home this evening to find the CPE Service light on... but the WiFi light was off for some reason.
Tried connecting to it using LAN cable (192.168.1.1)... no luck.
Used a screw driver and did a reset on the unit... I can access it using WiFi again, but the IPv4 status is "disconnected" and the service light is off again...

Which area is this? Please don't do anything to the ONTs, they get provisioned by SADV so factory resetting is just complicating things :).

Yeah sorry bad move on my part but I had no idea how to get access to the thing to see if the connection was actually up 'cause using it with my router WAN port didn't work.

The area is sonneglans...

You need to engage with support then it's not a case of logging into the ONT unfortunately.

Is there an issue with the link from cpt to joburg? I noticed it last night too, latency is higher than usual.

Just a quick question. When you receive the free router from CISP, do you still need to do the setup or has the router been pre configured?

Yeah we saw this as well, carrier had to do emergency maintenance and so used a longer path whilst doing so. But this was resolved at 7;40am or so this morning.

My line should activated as PON is static green on the CPE and Cool Ideas started billing.

I’m able to fetch their router only on Monday so for now I’m trying to connect via 2 routers I have:

- the cell C fiber router
- a tenda router

I’ve configured both in DHCP but I get no connection at all.

Any (cool) idea?

On aerial? You would need PPPoE user and pass, pm me your account details.
