@PBCool Apparently SACS cable (Angola -> South America) is now up and running. Any info on Cool Ideas using the routing? Currently with Mweb but their reply seems like they don't have the flexibility to jump quickly on this.

It's technically up and running but not available to providers as yet. We should be doing some tests relatively soon though.

No Twitch issues here either.

Try using the "Alternate Player for Twitch" Chrome addon:

https://chrome.google.com/webstore/...r-twit/bhplkbgoehhhddaoolmakpocnenplmhf?hl=en

It's available on Edge and Firefox too (there I think it's still referred to as the Twitch 5 player, only Chrome had the name change). Try using that and report back. There is also another alternative, which requires a bit more setup. Been using it for more than a year since ADSL, and still rocking it with fibre, no issues.

Holy hell. Instant solid 1080p60 playback! Why... does this work?

The extension creates multiple connections to the Twitch servers from which the stream originates and thus provides a better and solid playback

Thanks a lot! This is amazing. I need a cold shower now.

Thanks for linking that extension, im also using it now. I generally don't get much issues on twitch because im on fibre, however there is some occasional buffering that happens.

Since yesterday's crap with TT almost blowing up everything my ping has been jumping quite a bit whereas before that everything was smooth and stable. Could this be related PBCool?

We have split TTConnect off to their own segment of our network. So could only be related to TTConnect customers. Do you have any examples for me?

Unfortunately no way to avoid hold times when a network goes down and there are a flood of calls. Have you PMed me the ticket number you need assistance with?

It was in the other message I sent however it is #COOL-20180922-149183 - Line Issues

The line is working at 25Mb now but as per my ticket update its having issues as it works then goes down for a coule seconds then back again with latency issues also at times.

Yep, I have been having intermittent drop outs for months.

2 teams arrived one day apart to check my setup, no further news for a month.

Hi, Are you in Midrand with MFN? I am and having this issue.

Thanks will check it out.

Hi PBCool, my line has been down since yesterday morning. I'm in Lonehill - the service and broadband lights are out on the ONT. I logged ticket number COOL-20180922-149412. The agent indicated that a call of some sort needs to be logged on your side to see if there's an issue, but the connection still isn't restored. Would you be able to assist please?

Looks fine now, probably something with AWS servers today. Thanks!

Sure will have a look but this usually just means a line down, so will be logged with the fibre provider.

Is there an additional charge if I want to downgrade my line? How long does it normally take?
