Also had a few disconnects to the Twitch Relay last night... Happens from time to time... Generally once every 3-4 streams.... last night was 3 times in the space of 4 hours :/ Not sure if it's related, but yeah :)
Do you know what time it was?

Not sure if it is me or not but all of a sudden seeing a lot more "issues" with Cool Ideas lately, just when I am looking for a fibre ISP, could just be the fibre providers!

Unfortunately it's the nature of the forum, and we are on over 20 networks now. So often seems like only negative and no positive. Don't let it distract from the fact that we provide a great service.

For me, most of the time, which is 99.9999999999%, basically 100% of the time, no issues at all.
Usually its very easy to max out 100Mbps line.
Game updates download super fast.
My torrent client is set to limit the speed on torrents so that I can play games, because believe it or not, it has caused latency for me if leaving it to max out the line, which it does when I least expect it.

As long as you not on TTconnect (they the worst), you should be golden with CISP.

Unfortunately most of us only come here with our problems. After initial problems with Vuma and the CPE that was sorted with the help of PBCool I have not had a single problem that was not on my side. Low latency and very good down and upload speeds internationally. Go Cool Ideas!

@PBCool : I've just received an email:
Confirmation of cancelled service
Your cancellation of CISP 20Mbps/2Mbps Uncapped from Cool Ideas has been received.
Your service will be removed the following date: 9/30/2018 12:00:00 AM

I haven't cancelled my service, and I don't intend to. What do I need to do to prevent being cut off?

Please elaborate.
I'm currently on ADSL and TTconnect is laying fibre in my area.
Some reading for you:

If their your only choice however, not much you can do about it. I just feel if I were with them, I wouldnt have the best service like I do now on Vumatel.

Not overly impressed with the level of support from the cool guys at the moment. Still no response to my ticket.

Want to just throw my 2c in here. My international also died completely last night around midnight. I'm in Cape Town on Octotel. International looks good now though.

To the person saying the forum looks negative. That's because this is the place people come when they have issues. I've personally only had one issue with CISP since Feb when I got fiber. I would still recommend CISP to anyone without hesitation.

While a lot of us come here to complain - lets give credit where credit is due.

@PBCool really responds to practically each and every issue, and you will not get that level of service anywhere.
(well I have not, in the ISP space specifically) Cool Ideas is just that, Cool!

I've been with Vox, Webafrica, Mweb etc. and nothing has matched the level of service and stability that we currently have. Our 200/200 CISP fibre on Octotel, Cape Town is rock solid and stable - can't remember when last I had to reboot our router.

Like anything new, you may experience some teething issues in the beginning, but once its up and running, it just works - its almost like an appliance!

So asking them to take an extra R200 off of me and having to wait 6 hours ( and counting ) for a reply is cool ?. I think not. I still agree they are prob the best out there....but then again, as mentioned in another post i made whilst trying to get an account, the experience so far is a bit....well...bleh to be honest. I just expected so much MORE - know what i mean ???????

I don't feel the coolness - i just don't ! ;-)

@PBCool - let me feel the cool - take my money, what do you say.....hmmm ?

I had a credit due for the few days that I did not have Internet access when I first got cabled up - I was fully credited for those days - when it comes to billing and its not your fault - Cool Ideas will sort you out.
Have you perhaps tried calling them? That usually solves most of the problems.
