@PBCool

I think HE enabled a new CPT1 pop this morning just after midnight. I see some increased latencies from international, and it has a deviation of 10ms so not very stable.

Looks like it only affects CPT ip ranges for now.

Hi guys I've been battling to get the internet going. Received a 651 error on Windows when trying to bypass the router

Internet dropped at 1:42pm came up again after restarting ONT. Should I just go an create a ticket so its logged ?

Okay, so I can't believe that my poor international performance is because of Frogfoot.

The below test is from my 100Mbps CISP line on Frogfoot and the comparative test is from a Vox 100Mbps line also on Frogfoot.

Slight problem with mine I'd say...

Yeah they were meant to turnup CPT sometime soon, can you PM me the examples?

So did Mine.....

I'm in Sunward Park JHB, Vumatel as a provider. How about you? I also went down at like 5:30pm yesterday and around 11:00pm last evening

Im in Midrand, MetroFibre as the provider so I'm taking a guess it might be Coolideas side of things?

Also went down for me at that time. A lot of us are having this issue - across multiple "cable" providers. My issues started around the 22nd of September. The response here was "Unrelated issues on separate networks."

With multiple users, across multiple providers, losing connection at the same time - Im not buying the "unrelated" and "coincidence" excuses anymore.

Its not too bad, quickly looking I see this currently:

Following graph shows the increase in latency, mostly that some things route back through JHB->CTN over HE.

No, but same complex. Can there be a problem with my line if local speedtest result to anywhere in SA is almost full 100Mbps line speed? It's only overseas that is terrible.

Will log a ticket to investigate / troubleshoot.
Yes if there is any packet loss on your line it will affect your international performance in a much larger way.

These are different networks with different access routers, the same networks have lines with uptime of weeks so it can only be line specific. If it was an issue from our side it would be across the board IE everyone losing connection at the same time. Everyone who lost connectivity at those times please PM me your account details and I can check the PPP logs.

Well you're testing to Vox Telecom's speedtest server in London on both tests - Which actually goes across Cool Ideas peering with Vox and Vox will carry the traffic to London and back again.

So it actually doesn't touch any of Cool Ideas' International capacity, it goes across vox's capacity on both.

Will log with CISP and see, they can escalate to Frogfoot to troubleshoot.

My international browsing and downloads from the US and just about anywhere is perfect, Netflix streams 4K without a hitch. Just traffic to Europe is a balls up.

This is a back to back test taken now...

Hi Guys

What sort of download speeds do you guys on 100 Mbps lines get using TestMy.Net ( say via the LONDON server ? )

I dont even get 1/4 my speed, yet Speedtest.net reports full line speed (depending on which server you choose of course )

Granted these tests are different, i think testmy.net gives you a better idea of your REAL speed.

Then i go download something from Google Drive, and I get this :

So which one is accurate ?
