From what I've seen and read our fiber internet is probably on par or better than America's is
This is false. Last mile has improved greatly for America in the time it took us to get to their 100Mb standard. We will always lag behind.

So, i'm quite late to the party, don't have any tests with me, but can give a bit of side information.
Heavy CSGO player here and also avid twitch viewer.
Short and sweet - The amount of Packet loss I have on CSGO since I've joined Cool Ideas is actually insane. Thought it was just me, asked around, my buddies in Joburg also have packet loss in CSGO, but only with Cool Ideas. When I asked for an investigation by CISP, I was told to get the valve server IP's... yikes. I'm sure they are just laying around, yeah?
Twitch - only way I can watch with no issue is when using the twitch5 chrome extension.
Openserve 100/50 line.
I think this is a little naive. Sure having fiber and now finally world class line speeds is great and a MASSIVE (I can't emphasize this enough) step in the right direction, the internet and its services aren't as simple as "I have a faster line therefore everything should be perfect."
Here have a look at this:

This is the server distribution around the world for Overwatch league. Notice something? Africa is one of about 12 locations around the world who doesn't have a server. Yes I understand Overwatch is just a game but in the time I've been around the internet this is pretty par for the course of where international companies put servers. Actually its probably more generous than what most companies would do. We (Africa) just don't register on their radars. Amazon web services is another one that comes to mind.
The issues of not having local servers can be immense. Usually games, and I'd make an educated guess and say applications too, are built to be used at 90ms and less. We get 140 at absolute best, thats still well outside that range. Just think about what happens to one packet if gets lost at 140ms compared to what happens if you were using it at 20ms.
From what I've seen and read our fiber internet is probably on par or better than America's is, however they have the luxury of having every server and online service being BUILT for them.
Ugh I'm not saying it can't be done and it frustrates me that I can't always watch twitch but I do at least understand SOME of the challenges of making an international service like twitch work correctly, there are lots of moving parts some of which out of CISP's hands.
They made me rethink mine for sure... went with Vox in the end...
The intention ( at least mine ) is not to put people off CISP - definitely not - I was one of those guys that couldn't WAIT to get signed up with them. I was so sick and tired of my LTE with Telkom.
I just feel so disappointed having such great expectations from the start, and now feeling let down by what i get for my money - especially because we pay SO MUCH for these products. I'm not unthankful ( on the contrary ). I know very few people have access to fibre in SA, but maaaaaaan...come on !!! 100Mbps or 200Mps - we should NOT be struggling like this... no matter who's to blame for the issues...
Only thing i guess is if the issues lie at the source - but i think it's been proven that in the case of RD - some guys have great speed, while others struggle...
Have you ever tried dealing with an African Government?I think this is a little naive. My experience of real debrid is as follows.
They're essentially selling an illegal service - they seem to provide proxy access to premium services on filehosts like rapidgator etc. IE - they pay for a premium account there, and then use it to allow you and all their other customers to download that file at high speed. Pretty sure this is contrary to the T&C of the file host.
My dealings with their support teams bear this out - they are insufferably arrogant and do not take ownership or accountability for any issues at all. It's always your ISP or a crap carrier or packetloss or whatever.
I've stopped supporting them completely.
Agreed. In the interim here's my latest...Here's my 2c:
I think that http://30.download.real-debrid.com/speedtest/test.rar varies a lot for whatever reason which is why we see different speeds from different people, because they were done at all different times.
I say we all agree on a time to do the test, say 8:00pm, then post your results and network/location info?

I can live with that.Agreed. In the interim here's my latest...

You should get 2.4 Mbps ie 20mbpsI am getting a download speed on torrents of 2.4mbps on a 20/2 meg line.
Am I wrong in saying I should at least get 4mbps download speed on a 20mb line ??
About 2MB/sYou should get 2.4 Mbps ie 20mbps
I can still live with that.
