Having the same issue, well sorta. Can't connect to the 5Ghz AP from more than 1 wall away and even then it gives some issues on certain devices where the speed will just tank and latency spikes.

Im actually using an additional router for wireless atm, because the 2.4Ghz AP on the thing also seemed pretty weak when running in dual mode.

I bought that router as I thought it will be much better than the free one. Maybe a setting that someone can direct us to

PBcool, thanx for the great service from all at CISP that helped me yesterday with prompt connection, all running fine, just some questions.

I'm using the TP LInk Archer C2 router, but the 5Hz wifi signal keeps on disappearing?

What will the best settings on this router be for Xbox 360 online gaming, as the stats (wired) I got yesterday was very bad:
Latency = 300ms
Packet loss = 1%
Upload = 1.33Mbps
Download = 22,4Mbps

This is on a 100/10 line, rest of my speed tests are fine , just the xbox, or is this the wrong thread for this?

Not sure, have you tried a firmware upgrade? 5Ghz isn't great for wall penetration.

Wireless is fickle and relative to the environment, have you tried doing some channel utilisation scans on your phone or other mobile device?

If the Xbox is testing to the West Coast these kind of stats can be very normal, but when you game you should be playing on the London side of things, also downloads will come from local CDNs unlike when you run the basic test.

Is it possible to test while gaming?

So i did a little bit of testing to my server in the netherlands which i think might explain many of the issues people might be having with twitch and other bandwidth intensive tasks to Europe.

So basically single threaded downloads seem to plateau for me at speeds of +- 600 kb/s
So i tried multi threaded and BAM, i could completely saturate my 100mb/s...
Only thing that bothers me, is that i had to use 32 Threads to do it!

This would explain why twitch for instance is so bad, we are just not getting much throughput on single threaded or single pipe applications.

@PBCool I hope you guys can look into this and come to a solution for the issue.

So this is due to TCP window scaling, Windows 7 and newer versions support the scaling to assist in single threaded TCP streams. There isn't much aside from trying to do application acceleration for all the traffic which then introduces additional complexities. It would be best for Twitch to deploy a local CDN.
