Thank you very much.Sure on it.
Bothasig area, I got an email saying their is trouble on the Vumatel network. And it’s not only me that is suffering. Although my billing is still incorrect. Hopefully it gets sorted, giving them some time. What suburb?
I have received help, after another phone call I finally did. Sorry I don’t use the forum often. There is still a billing issue but we are resolving it. Well hopefullyPlease provide me your ticket number for this, I have made myself quite available for escalations.
Well, I use it for Linux Distros (yes, actual Linux distros, not an alias for piratingIn this day and age, I seriously don't get this need to torrent anything and everything that pops up on a seed. But that's just me.
Nowadays it's called "Sailing the High Seas"Well, I use it for Linux Distros (yes, actual Linux distros, not an alias for pirating), or if I want to share a file that's over ~200MB with someone as it's faster to upload straight to them than it is to put it on Google Drive as that maxes out at about 3MB/s, rather than the 5-6MB/s my line can do, so it's faster, while I don't want to give them access to e.g. VPN into my home network.
Thanks I was going to mention that I wasn't sure of my facts and didn't want to look like an idiotJust a note that the iperf TCP tests on windows have been found to be a bit unreliable, especially if you don't tweak the TCP receive window a bit. The default buffer size of around 200k is not enough to ramp up past 10mbps.
You can use the -w parameter to increase the size of the window, for example:
iperf3.exe -R -b 180m -p 17001 -c queen.cisp.co.za -d -w 400k
That latency to broadcast seems extremely high, 18 seconds ? I must confess I do not usually look at the stats on twitch so not too familiar with normal latency but 18 seconds latency vs 1second buffer size might be why you are stuttering.
If this is the case, please explain this behaviour.
RD links that are slow (2mb/s), I connect iphone as modem on vodacom 3G, then play the exact same link and plays buffer free (10mb/s).
PBCool thinks is something called acceleration.
After my recent experience with Cox Telecom..
10Mb not MB, don't know where I said MB.I cant speak of your example that I don't have access to. I did my testing on a 10GBit connection and the results were piss poor all over the place as I pointed out and for me that was good enough to point out something is not all that peachy with those hosts and lets not forget nearly everyone of the 500 active RD users is posting about bad experiences/buffering on RD all over the internet.
ps. 3G is not capable of 10MB/s not sure where you get your special 3G modem from.![]()
Try manually changing DNS to:It starts at 7 sec then as my throughput to twitch is not sufficient to keep the stream going it increases. This was about 3 buffers in before I gave up.
I predict I'll be back to having twitch be unusable during 8-10pm within a month. I'll see if I can snag a graph of how erratic the traffic is tonight.
Day 2 of this. 100/100. Vumatel. Trenched. Wired and Wireless. Restarted everything. #COOL-20181212-188948.

@PBCool ?
Did it only recently start or are you a recent fibre client with this issue from the start ?
One thing I would suggest is forcing your wanport on your router to 100Mbit speed and testing. It might be an ONT autonegotiate at 1Gbit issue that seems to be very rare but afaik all Vumatel ONT's are the same manufacturer so if one ONT could have such an issue more ONT's are likely.
