How long does it take to repair a fiber cable?Dude you must have a problem with your Fibre cable.
Have you received your login credentials from CISP yet? If so, use your existing ADSL router to complete the setup. Your ADDL router should have a WAN port though, just double check.

It's the same conclusion I came to. What now?Ask Vuma lol. I would recommend they just replace the entire cable with a brand new one. It’s the only other possible explanation here.
Did you try call and speak to the connect team?Having an issue with my current order which doesn't seem to moving anywhere![]()
Frogfoot completed the last-mile last week. Service light is lit on the GigaPoint wall box. Frogfoot can see this and can see the serial number of the box.
However, according to them, the order with Cool Ideas is still listed as pending, and needs to be moved to the correct status before proceeding (i.e. me being sent the router)?
Very frustrating to know my fibre service is basically active but can't use it because of a small admin problem. And my ADSL line keeps dropping![]()

It's not so simple with PON as the line terminates at a splitter. They have replaced the ONT and port on the OLT, I have escalated to our AM on numerous times. As I have mentioned time and time again this process can take a while and is out of our control directly.Ask Vuma lol. I would recommend they just replace the entire cable with a brand new one. Great stuff, we did escalate with Octotel. There are no usage stats on the portal.@PBCool

Thank you for attending to this ticket, I am not sure if it is something Cool Ideas did or because there is no one in my neighbourhood due to the holidays, but the line has been absolutely fantastic since Friday.
Also, can you please tell me where do I check on the client zone for my usage statistics.
Once again, thank you.

Cool keep me up to date, it shouldn't be an issue to be resolved tomorrow I imagine.I did speak to someone, was then connected to support who tried to test the line, but we were unsuccessful. I connected the GigaPoint to my desktop via ethernet, but no dice![]()
Frogfoot confirmed they could see the GigaPoint, though, and the serial number of my specific device.
It's been flagged and sent on for the Connect team's attention... really hope we are up and running this week!

Not possibly MTU related, which router are you using?
Glad to hear to that, hopefully it has been sorted out. We will wait and see. In the meantime, I am enjoying buffer free Fox News in the evening. Have a blessed day.Mine has also been amazing this weekend. For the first time in a long time on a Sunday I've been able to stream twitch without issues. Don't know if its related to your ticket, my ticket, CISP changing something or Octotel. I am slightly concerned that it's "fixed" because everyone left for the holidays but who knows.
Hope things stay this way.
Have you tried bypassing the router?Asus N17U
Haven't had any issues on Openserve for a while now. Hopefully that sudden period of sketchy connectivity in the evenings is gone now.
