I am using the TP Link supplied by yourselves, which I might add is a mighty fine router. I will once again do the direct-to-ONT test and revert back
Cool, next steps are then iperfs to check loss on the line.

Cool then Iperfs are next, there hasn't been any other changes on our side and everything is back to how it was.

Running iperf directly on the ONT:

C:\iperf-3.1.3-win64>iperf3.exe -R -u -b 80M -p 17001 -c queen.cisp.co.za
Connecting to host queen.cisp.co.za, port 17001
Reverse mode, remote host queen.cisp.co.za is sending

Not too impressed by Cool ideas. I have had headaches with them since day 1. I have 100mb/25 fiber over Octotel and my international speeds to my offices in seattle is 4mb/s download and 10mb upload. So their international contention ratio sucks. So my cancellation is in with them looking for an ISP with better international contention ratios. I got 40meg download and 40 up on VOX to Seattle, USA when I was with them

This is my fear confirmed. Download speed is slightly less important than upload speed, which at the moment is SHOCKING. They are now playing the blame game. They blame Octotel, Octotel blames CI.

If VOX were not so SLLLLOOOOOOOW in doing business I'd move there.

I left Vox at the end of November, I had exactly the same problems at Vox, It was non stop fighting. I no longer believe the problem is with the ISP. The problem is on the network. Other people in my street with different ISP's are having the same problems.

So basically Octotel sucks and I am better off keeping my Telkom LTE?
Nothing has changed since ADSL days.. That typical SA business mentality is so deeply entrenched. F** the customer, he is after all contributing to the salaries.

I have asked people in my area to help me sign a letter to Octotel, but typical Saffa people do not want to get involved. I am giving @PBCool the benefit of the doubt here and believe he is going to sort it out for us. Regarding my letter, I have one commitment from a neighbour but two signatures on a letter will not carry much weight.

I unfortunately don't have the luxury of waiting for action to be taken. I need my line for work.
I made this clear from the beginning but either I wasn't understood clearly by Cool Ideas or they were just too eager for my money.

My son is on a 10 mb line with Cool Ideas, he streams perfectly. The problem is not at Cool Ideas.

This is then clearly not an ISP fault.. Problem is then with useless Octotel.
Might as well just give up the idea of having FTTH as this is another useless FTTH provider

Other people have assisted me in testing. It seems the problem is INDEED not in your network.
So its an Octotel problem and since I cannot test on another Fibre line there is no way of proving it 100% either.

I pay for a 100/25, that is what I want. I will not give up so easily.

Count yourself lucky, by the end of this month I will have no internet at all thanks to a botched installation by OpenServe and slow follow ups from Cool Ideas.

/end rant.

I am paying the same, I might be tired of fighting but the problem is I need things to work. I have to have a backup plan. Telkom might be the dogs everyone claim they are, but, I never had this much trouble with them. The faithful old LTE never lets me down, it just works, its slow in peak times but we've learnt to cope with this.

I am paying for 100/25 as you are but getting a shoddy product that cannot even do 1/2 that on an international speed test. I feel like I've been taken for a ride here. Fleeced.

As per the other post have you gone through the support process as yet?

It's not the blame game it is simply a process in narrowing down what your issue is.
