Could do, where are you based? Please get in your car, bring your mikrotik router, and come and help an old tannie to see if the router is the problem![]()
Lol, you know I am only making a joke. Quite far from you,Northern Suburbs, Cape Gate area. I am going to be patient some more and hopefully upload speed is going to be resolved. Did the tests directly to the ONT, so cannot be the router.Could do, where are you based?

I use mega because I am tired of replacing failing hard drives- The weather in SA is so extreme I am getting slightly more than the warranty on hard disks. Why do you use Mega, if you don't mind me asking?
The free accounts have hectic restrictions on file sizes and the ability for others to download shared stuff. And the pricing of premium accounts isn't competitive.
Just buy a year of Office 365 for cheap off OLX or Gumtree (R250-350) and enjoy the included 1TB OneDrive storage.

I am paying around R160 a month for 1TB.
I am sorry but I don't support Microsoft

My Mega.nz is encrypted anyway. I tried to share a file with someone.. that was just too many hoops for the recipient to jump. I had to send an encryption key etc..I only mentioned the MS option because of the insane price. Although even then, I'd say Microsoft is infinitely more trustworthy than Google. And you can encrypt your backups anyway, which is what I do for all uploads other than films, series, photos and work docs.
Although, if you don't mind Google, their R159pm plan has 2TB storage, family sharing features, carries the storage bump through to Gmail and other Google services and has the best upload speeds I've seen for any cloud storage service in SA:

Anyway, no worries. Just thought I'd mention the alternative value proposition.

For me its a non-issue. The mega cloud storage is mainly an off site backup so if the place burns down or they steal my stuff I can just smile and claim from insurance as all of that stuff is safely tucked awayYeah, Mega has not just a limitation on individual file sizes when it comes to uploads and downloads, but also daily totals. Both parties essentially need a paid account to download and upload freely between them. Pretty crap imo.
You're better off using the free 50GB Mega provides for sensitive files (or just encrypting sensitive files and not using Mega at all - seems better to trust your own encryption than theirs) and 2TB Google Drive for R159pm for everything else. Or 1TB OneDrive via Office 365 if you'd like all the latest Office apps and to save a boatload.
Am looking at Tweaknews now thanks...Try tweaknews. They one of the very few usenet providers not reselling highwinds which is routing over Angola.
You're such a rebel.
