It seems to have improved significantly now. That's decent.

I got a HTPC in the same cabinet and it runs at max line speed to local servers, no issues. I'm about 5 metres and a wall away from the router. Archer D9.

Connect PS/XBOX over a vpn for USA/UK etc. then you could directly test their direct/CDN for those countries so its a better idea what each country international speed returns for you.

Am I the only one being driven crazy by the loss to hetzner servers from CISP? with the luck fact that 90% of CS:GO SA servers are hosted at hetzner it seriously is driving me nuts :(

PBCOOL. .. can you share any news on cool ideas offering a service over the MTN Fibre network? Tired of the crazy openserve pricing and would switch in a heartbeat if it was possible

Nope, Ive been in contact with PBCool since last week when it started and for the most part narrowed down the router causing the issue.

I assume you play on billosoft servers also ? Only servers I play on lately and only servers I have this frustrating packetloss issue with. :*(

Yep, everyone play scrims there so... :(, the worst is that it has been getting progressively worse as time go by, at the moment it is literally unplayable, I just time out every 30 seconds.

Since I actually have official matches to play I will probably end up cancelling CISP monday and moving somewhere else :(

I am not sure about their network but the testing server went down 6:54 pm

I would love this hetzner only issue (literally the only place with the packetloss) to get resolved asap, atleast PBCool is in the process of looking deeper into the issue and resolve this issue. I have zero issues anywhere else but here so I am not cancelling coolideas just yet, giving them bit more time to resolve this.

Sad part is that right now I am playing on billosoft(hetzner hosted) games by connecting to my server at teraco datacenter in order to bypass the faulty router into hetzner jhb. It solves the issue for me temporarily but at extra bandwidth cost I am not completely happy to spend longterm.

Really interesting. My power tripped and since then when I make a pppoe dial I get a username/ password error on my router. Was working fine before the trip

So what you say, my router shouldn't restart before the radius server is available again.

Mine on inverter so shouldn't.

Glad I'm not on the technical team of CISP, this Sunday evening turned into ... for them.

Are you in JHB or CTN?

CTN, JHB coolideas users do not go over this route.

It is actually looking like not hetzner issue per say but a hop before entering hetzner that CTN users always seem to go through.

When I connect to teraco CTN vpn and do MTR it does no go over this hop 196-60-9-24.ixp.joburg , that one seems to be causing the issue going into hetzner for us.

I dont know if there is further upstream issues but based on my own tests this hop is constantly the outlying hop causing the issues which dont show up on my ADSL accounts nor teraco ctn to jhb hetzner.

We have narrowed it down to the peer at NAP and have logged it with Hetzner, I dont see it taking very long to resolve.

Not quite, some JNB users would use that route if it's closest, IE anything from Teracos side, anything closer to JINX would route that way.

From my testing, with access to a server at Hetzner, it looks like Hetzner prefer routing back over IS instead of NapAfrica or JINX which is interesting.
