Yeap was a router failure in the hosting portion, first we did a firmware upgrade which resolved the issue for a few hours but then the issue returned. The device was replaced this morning.

It seems you still have issues as the jitter ping still times out a lot.

@PBCool, is Cape Town ever going to get DNS servers? I see for Cape Town users DNS is hosted in JHB.

I've been with Cool Ideas (on Vumatel) for the past month on a 100/10 package and can't stop smiling. I don't think I've had even one single lag spike the past month, and each speed test I do I get my 100/10.

Keep up the good work!

@PBCool, a friend of mine stays in Beverly (Fourways area) and his complex is active with Metrofibre.

He is looking to sign up with you guys, but just have a questions he needs answered.

He has cancelled his Neotel Contract, which ends on the 26th of September 2017, when must he apply through your website for fibre, to get fibre access from the 26th onwards?

They have installed a white box in his house for fibre, however they did not connect it to a power source, will this delay the process at all.

Thanks in advance.

Yeah so best is to apply sooner than later, and just mention you want it live around the 26th of September. We would apply with Metrofibre who would then install an ONT, which is the part that needs power. Once it's provisioned over to us we would supply an account and router and off you go.

I'm experiencing severe buffering to both EU and the USA, didn't have this before.

Buffering on? There have been no changes to the Cape Town network.

My international just died completely :(
Sucks lagging out mid-game.

Local content still works fine though.
