Could simply be routing or expressvpn has a bigger (less congested) pipe to the speedtest server in question.

Joeline mentioned streaming is also fine now which means it isn’t speed test specific...

Getting the same, Twitch without the VPN is slow as hell, but via VPN - I am able to stream without an issue.

@PBCool I've opened a ticket (#COOL-20190120-204704), speeds are currently horrendous here in Table View. Feels like I'm back on dial up.

Octotel 100/25 Southern Suburbs.

Love Sundays and Octotel....

I always found it odd that Octotel never did maintenance or almost none compared to other networks. I guess now I know why.

Phew, glad I spent all that extra money on a 200/200 line...

Well you are getting double my speed

But in all seriousness next time you feel this crunch do the same test to London and choose single threaded. Guarantee yours will look more like mine.

And your graph is perfect. It perfectly describes what happens to my throughput once peak time comes around.

On a fibre connection... Wow even 4Mbps adsl would be better.

200/100Mbps Supersonic on Openserve to Coreix London single thread.

@PBCool whats your thoughts on the Century City Connect Super Cool deal if I only need wi-fi for general phone browsing, some YouTube, some Spotify and some Netflix (not all the time though)..... what router do you provide? Is it still the TP link?

What I really don't understand is that you have a 100/25 and for you to be degraded in such a way that you are getting less than 1Mbps why is your latency still that low? Octotel uses GPON and if it was OLT congestion you will see packet loss and increased latency especially before hitting CISP's network there will be increased latency but the overall latency is 142ms to international which is excellent.

This is not congestion this is something else. I experienced OLT congestion on a GPON before with Aeonova360 and there was latency before the traffic even hit the ISP or destination.

I absolutely have both those things.

I'm keeping detailed daily test results. This is from tonight at 9:10PM:

Notice how first hop has a worst of 5 and packet loss all the way down. I never used to have either packet loss or high ping to my first hop, even just two months ago. This situation is getting worse.
