Hi all, apologies but I simply can't respond to 40 threads this evening. I will do my best to do so from tomorrow morning after my schedule. To add to this Openserve are battling to deliver the bandwidth required for our customers in JHB and CT as things stand, they have committed to next week to resolve this. The fact that Octotel customers are still struggling is unacceptable at this point and we are dealing with this daily at exco level, the feedback on this thread is invaluable so please continue to post. But please do so directly to myself.
This was supposed to be processed already, MFN have confirmed it hasn't been done as yet. But have assured us it's happening today.@PBCool I was told there was an mf upgrade as well you guys applied for (extra 1gbps) ... what has happened to that?

I don't know how any of you survive on Octotel. I knew their network had issues, due to Cool Ideas not even taking signups for them anymore, but damn they are wrecked.
I'm staying in Newlands, CT for the week on a training course and my immediate vicinity seems to only have Octotel, going by the boxes outside every house. Like clockwork every evening the network collapses in on itself. Right now it's borderline useless.
Similar question to the one above.
If you're on the Frogfoot backbone, can you use multiple ISP's in the same way that you can on Openserve?
eg. I currently run Evonet and Vox simultaneously on an ISPAfrika Openserve Fibre line - would I be able to run Cool Ideas and Vox in the same way on Frogfoot Fibre?
Yeap I am busy with this and Vumatel.@PBCool VUMA 200/200 still no response, not from you and not from the CISP support ...

21:40 and here we go again. For the second night in a row DL is at 1.3mbps....My Telkom line was better! Blouberg, Cape Town, Octotel. Wth is going on??
Eish. That's not great at all!
Unfortunately not. With nearly all other FNO's aside from MTN ISP selection is done by placing you into the ISP's VLAN, which is a configuration change at the FNO.
I'm with MTN, does this mean I'd be able to run two different "data" packages (pppoe's)?
Perhaps some bad press would motivate them? Maybe MyBB could run an article on the degradation of their network? It would certainly be more interesting than the 500th paid-for article about how DSTV is so much better than Netflix.
@rpm what do you think?
