We are getting reports of Openserve issues in Pretoria, can't get through to Openserve NOC to confirm.

We haven't had any network issues otherwise it would be on our announcements page.

So what is to blame then? My google also timed out and blizzard app both had issues the same time other people on here with different fibre providers also had issues. Just looking for a common denominator here...

Shame I am scared...

That is why you will have 0 chance of success with litigation.

The law is not interested in your feels, it is not a pissing contest; it only deals in demonstrable facts.
Rage and **** posting about anybody/company without you being able to back-up what you post with undisputed facts, no your opinion is not facts, is classed as publishing slanderous information; the end.

If they decide to settle, standard awards range in the R40k - 50k range, excluding legal fees. As extra bonus once you lose the case, your employer has grounds to dismiss you from employment – already tested and confirmed in front of the CCMA in ZA.

Why would anybody want all that dwag in your life for a cr@ppy internet connection?

Soo unless you have access to corporate records proving what you are posting, al la WikiLeaks internal documents, best take a deep breath and cut it out and calmly seek redress via your service provider.
By the sounds of it CISP is already starting the fight to claw-back fees on users behalf.

The call centre doesn't deal with higher level technical issues, the standard protocol is to go through the usual support process then escalate. This is why it can be frustrating and why this forum exists. They deal with thousands of requests a week of which most are resolved using simple troubleshooting. We are changing our ticket and phone systems to make things a bit more efficient in the above process.

My issue with your guys' ticket system isn't that talking to the person is frustrating its that the response times can vary wildly. You can go anywhere from 1 day to 2 weeks with not a peep, I think that's what frustrates people.

I accept that there are things that the support agents have to leave to go do, like escalate, check up on stuff or get an update from people but then please tell your support agents to update the ticket holder they are doing that rather than just leaving them with no response to their question. If takes multiple days/weeks for the response/update to happen I'd prefer just once a day for them to update my ticket with that "still waiting for the update" or something so I know my ticket is still being attended to.

Just my 2c.

Are you just stupid or can't you read.

The issue is that with deep faults within the fibre network affecting congestion, information needs to come directly from the ISP whom gets this information from the client.

Vumatel and many providers when dealing directly with clients will test your line for signal levels not traffic at the OLT level fking idiot who thinks he knows all.

Cool Ideas are effectively who I and everyone else pays to fix things. You don't pay your fibre provider. Except Openserve clients on data only contracts.

Again fking genius moving is not going to help...atleast with PBCool and therodent on here the chances are 100x better getting fixed and the overall performance until Octotel fked things up have been very good that's why I've stayed.

Again don't like it just don't fking read it.
Think he is stupid... even if someone couldn't read they would get it

Fibre carrier more than likely.

Yeap this kind of thing is being addressed in the new ticket system. Because dealing with external factors becomes more and more of a factor.

I said it before so let me say it again.

Rather than continuing to moan about your Coolideas performance.

Pick a different ISP and move to them and I am 99.99% certain you would have the exact same problems wherever you are located.

I have not had any of the issues reported here and the same goes for thousands of others. It seems to be mostly a handfull of people continuing reports of one or other issue that I am near certain is isolated to their geographical location + fiber network provider.

The madness here in shouting and screaming for months on end about issues that EVERY ISP seem to experience depending on area and network is fking stupid. On the one hand you want something resolved by Coolideas that they simply have no power over and on the other hand you refuse to move to another ISP who would have the exact same issues.

Are you all mentally challenged spoiled millenials ? It sucks to have issues, it makes you go crazy. I get it. But how about you go shout / phone / log complaints against the ACTUAL networks that is providing your fiber access and not get on the crazytrain shouting at the ISP for months on end.

You are assuming people don't do both...
Also in most cases the fno refuses to deal with the customer directly.
