What are you streaming that is buffering?Once again I come home from my bros place who is on vuma/cell c and experienced clean streaming... but I get home and my wife is watching something that is buffering like mad....
Correction: I use it for streaming TV, and playing games and I get pissed off that I cannot use something I am paying for. I have been patient for a long time, my patience ran outInternet is like drugs and when users don't get their fix, they get all kinds of grumpy...
I said it before so let me say it again.
Rather than continuing to moan about your Coolideas performance.
Pick a different ISP and move to them and I am 99.99% certain you would have the exact same problems wherever you are located.
Great, so if you are on Vumatel then please do yourself the favor and switch to cellc ISP provider on your Vumatel.
I am 99.99% certain you will have the exact same issues.
I don't know what is the main reason affecting certain areas/networks but the common trend is that the same people witching to other ISP's have the same or worse issues. Switching does not solve the problems so the only thing left that I can think of is the Fiber backhaul you are on.
Nope.Thank you for saying what 90% of the silent majority has been thinking.
As for being only fiber provider, all they have to do is click on Vuma’s coverage map to bring Vuma to the area, heck with so many unhappy clients they could even crowdsource all the unhappy clients into mobalizing a block request, but no they will rather spend day after day doing the same pointless moaning and groaning.
Heck when we wanted to get Vuma to come to the northern suburbs in CT we had people WALKING door to door to build the numbers, this lot can’t even click on a web site …
Just sad to see how oblivious they are to the fact that they just make their own names look like poop on these here forums. As for the ones talking “lawyer” suggest they read their own post vs libel laws in the country before the companies involved hand them their own rear ends.
“The Law of South Africa dictionary defines defamation as a statement that "has the effect of injuring a plaintiff's reputation. A plaintiff's reputation is injured if the statement tends to lower the plaintiff in the estimation of right-thinking members of society."
Furthermore, it does not matter if the statement is true or untrue: "The defamatory nature of a statement is not dependent on its falsity."”
Hope you get sorted with octotel. In fact their right to trade should actually be withdrawn imho.
Please explain? An opinion does not imply said forum member’s right to do anythingPot, Kettle.
Shame I am scared...Thank you for saying what 90% of the silent majority has been thinking.

ArtyLoop is getting DSL.... thats what.Whats happening on Thursday?
Are you just stupid or can't you read.
The issue is that with deep faults within the fibre network affecting congestion, information needs to come directly from the ISP whom gets this information from the client.
Vumatel and many providers when dealing directly with clients will test your line for signal levels not traffic at the OLT level fking idiot who thinks he knows all.
Cool Ideas are effectively who I and everyone else pays to fix things. You don't pay your fibre provider. Except Openserve clients on data only contracts.
Again fking genius moving is not going to help...atleast with PBCool and therodent on here the chances are 100x better getting fixed and the overall performance until Octotel fked things up have been very good that's why I've stayed.
Again don't like it just don't fking read it.
There is no other fibre provider in this area... Its OCTOFAIL or bust.
So what do you exactly propose I do about that?
I cannot change to another Fibre provider
Like I said before, I don't think the problem is in CISP's network.
Like I said before, I pay my money to Cool Ideas who pay a portion of it to OCTOFAIL. There is supposed to be a SLA between the parties at least.
OCTOFAIL doesn't give a flying FUUUUCK they are getting money regardless, they know their network is KAK and they feel FUUUCKALL about it, its just like the shoulder shrug, when you're rich and you don't care
Because I pay CISP, the responsibility is with them to get this sorted out, but the "feedback" I have gotten to date borders on stand up comedy
Was on WebAfrica and it was more stable and more reliable than CISP has been since I joined in December. I come to these forums to find out if I'm alone in experiencing issues, and I was not. Once again, there was an outage that multiple people experienced with CISP. So CISP need to do better or all this "nagging" does die down when clients do what you're suggesting and leave for other ISP's.

Traffic levels are normal on OS, not a line fault?
Yip, I actually think the inefficiency of their call centre poses a far greater threat than the Octofail one...I just don't think the majority of issues being pointed out here affect even 1% of their client base so CISP will be just fine.
