I am beyond furious. I have taken legal advice. I am at the point where I am willing to spend money having that billboard removed at Milnerton high school and having it replaced with one exposing this utterly BS situation, but then in the end its the Streisand effect and people thinking I am a d00s.. So I figure I will deal with them via ISPA, and possibly ICASA, if they have jurisdiction.
But I think that the ISPA does have some teeth so let's see what happens over the next 15 days with them.

Also @maumau because of this experience, I will not bother with FTTH in SA again. I am not sure how long I will be remaining in SA so there's no point, will ride it out with ADSL until we move overseas and then enjoy PROPER INTERNET, not this third world, third rate rubbish.

Actually MagicDude4Eva had afrihost back pay him for losses via ISPA/ICASA for something similar. They are not totally usesless, but in some cases like with pauk hajul vs mweb... he who writes the history, wins. Then MD4e got banned once he reported mybb to the ispa. lol.

I do not wish to be banned here, for any reason, and I mean that sincerely. But I do believe this issue is a legitimate and valid complaint and fight.

Only frogfoot issue that I have experienced or heard of in this thread is slow international download speeds.

Streaming and rest is stable on frogfoot + cisp.
Twitch.Tv is a nightmare to stream thanks to slow international.

@PBCool my ticket #COOL-20190103-194897 has now been with CISP for over a month regarding slow international speeds on Frogfoot. My patience has been worn thin as I'm still paying the full amount for my line, yet whenever I want to stream Twitch.TV I have to hold thumbs that it'll be a good day. Right now is not a good day as I can't stream 720p60.

When can I start expecting to see results from your troubleshooting with Frogfoot? It's definitely a frogfoot issue as my dad lives 1km away so is on the same frogfoot backbone (using Mweb as ISP) only manages 5Mbps download on a single thread to Coreix in London.

Last response to my ticket is that ff is looking into it deeper. They can't find an issue with the line and divian says there is no issue with the cisp nodes.

@PBCool - I don't know if it's possible for you to troubleshoot a game, but Apex Legends is constantly disconnecting and timing out from servers.

I said it before so let me say it again.

Rather than continuing to moan about your Coolideas performance.

Pick a different ISP and move to them and I am 99.99% certain you would have the exact same problems wherever you are located.

I have not had any of the issues reported here and the same goes for thousands of others. It seems to be mostly a handfull of people continuing reports of one or other issue that I am near certain is isolated to their geographical location + fiber network provider.

The madness here in shouting and screaming for months on end about issues that EVERY ISP seem to experience depending on area and network is fking stupid. On the one hand you want something resolved by Coolideas that they simply have no power over and on the other hand you refuse to move to another ISP who would have the exact same issues.

Are you all mentally challenged spoiled millenials ? It sucks to have issues, it makes you go crazy. I get it. But how about you go shout / phone / log complaints against the ACTUAL networks that is providing your fiber access and not get on the crazytrain shouting at the ISP for months on end.

Once again I come home from my bros place who is on vuma/cell c and experienced clean streaming... but I get home and my wife is watching something that is buffering like mad....

The problem is Cool Ideas issue. They are the intermediary between consumer and fiber provider. The fiber provider will not (and I say this from experience) deal with the consumer. They want the ticket, Speedtest, iperf tests and reports from the ISP.

And we will complain and log issues. Don't like it don't read it.

Great, so if you are on Vumatel then please do yourself the favor and switch to cellc ISP provider on your Vumatel.

I am 99.99% certain you will have the exact same issues.

I don't know what is the main reason affecting certain areas/networks but the common trend is that the same people witching to other ISP's have the same or worse issues. Switching does not solve the problems so the only thing left that I can think of is the Fiber backhaul you are on.

Hey Genius

If you are convinced the issue is Coolideas, then FKING move to another ISP.

I just explained to you that the issue is not something Coolideas can fix else we would all collectively experience the same issues nationwide. It is a small percentage users with these weird issues.

Again genius, vote with your wallet and see for yourself that switching for Coolideas wont fix your issue.

If it does fix all the issues then come back here and report on it and I will take back what I stated here.

ps. Bullsht on Fibre provider not dealing with client. I have twice in the last year contacted vumatel directly to check out issues with my fibre and they send someone out to test and verify everything is correct. The one thing fibre providers wont deal with is persistent nagging clients such as yourself but I am barking up the wrong tree what I state here will just fall on deaf ears.

Are you just stupid or can't you read.

The issue is that with deep faults within the fibre network affecting congestion, information needs to come directly from the ISP whom gets this information from the client.

Vumatel and many providers when dealing directly with clients will test your line for signal levels not traffic at the OLT level fking idiot who thinks he knows all.

Cool Ideas are effectively who I and everyone else pays to fix things. You don't pay your fibre provider. Except Openserve clients on data only contracts.

Again fking genius moving is not going to help...atleast with PBCool and therodent on here the chances are 100x better getting fixed and the overall performance until Octotel fked things up have been very good that's why I've stayed.

Again don't like it just don't fking read it.

There is no other fibre provider in this area... Its OCTOFAIL or bust.
So what do you exactly propose I do about that?
I cannot change to another Fibre provider
Like I said before, I don't think the problem is in CISP's network.
Like I said before, I pay my money to Cool Ideas who pay a portion of it to OCTOFAIL. There is supposed to be a SLA between the parties at least.
OCTOFAIL doesn't give a flying FUUUUCK they are getting money regardless, they know their network is KAK and they feel FUUUCKALL about it, its just like the shoulder shrug, when you're rich and you don't care
Because I pay CISP, the responsibility is with them to get this sorted out, but the "feedback" I have gotten to date borders on stand up comedy
