Busy with Vox Telecom to reinstate my dormant Fat Pipe accountVDSL? Which ISP
Busy with Vox Telecom to reinstate my dormant Fat Pipe account
Service can't be guaranteed. Stay put..Must be honest, the amount of grief here is giving me pause for thought around pulling the trigger on switching to Frogfoot + CISP.
Family would be very unhappy if we went from currently stable ISPAfrika-Openserve + CW/Vox to the kind of stuff described above.

just move to pretoria, we are safe for nowGood luck I was also extended that offer but nothing came of it-
Reality: Mr SnotNose of OctoFAIL has been playing the DENIALISM game since July 2018 I believe on this very issue. CISP has pushed him or is busy pushing him into a corner and my guess is he will either come with a lawsuit or cry in his panties and then allow a competitor to buy his shitty company. What this means is there is no real prospect for decent stable internet and I know that ADSL is a better prospect short to medium term.
Cool Ideas knew last year already there was a problem with some FISPs and choose to not act proactively or tackle the issue then because of the popular attitude in the internet industry which is “ ag man the customers are just full of crap let’s ignore them until it gets to a certain point”
No thank you!just move to pretoria, we are safe for now![]()
If your internet is fine why are you changing?
There are a few people on openserve here with CISP that have no issues.
I personally haven't been posting recently because @TheRoDent has sent me a black box that's now plugged into my ONT and he's working to try get my issue resolved. I'll let you guys know what happens.
Hope you get sorted with octotel. In fact their right to trade should actually be withdrawn imho.No thank you!
The switch would give me
- 100/100 rather than the 40/20 I currently have
- uncapped so I can stop having to actively manage
- full HD Netflix and DSTV (I downgrade some of end users to preserve bandwidth for everyone)
With two teens (1 of whom loves streaming), two pre teens, two retirees, my wife and myself and a host of iot devices, 100/100 uncapped unshaped at the same price point I'm currently at would be great.
Bottom line though is that it has to reliable.
There is quite a list of reputable ISP's on frogfoot. Cool Ideas, Rocketnet, home-connect, Macrolan, C-fibre, ISP Afrika, level-7 so a move to frogfoot will be better on your pocket and increase in speeds.

Only frogfoot issue that I have experienced or heard of in this thread is slow international download speeds.
Streaming and rest is stable on frogfoot + cisp.
