Good Riddance. I expect you to release my line to Web Squad tomorrow.

Edit: And by that I mean the Fibre line, not the VOIP. I will also be porting my VOIP away from
Cool Ideas.

@PBCool, please see to it that your accounts department send me a copy of my invoice for the VOIP line. Both telephone numbers must be present on the invoice. I expect that done tomorrow morning.
Please request this from accounts directly.

Errr, I'm paying for a service. They're hardly a "victim" here. Do I get the benefit if they don't deliver for 3 weeks? If I wanted a load of excuses and zero communication, I'd go speak to the government.
They're a victim as much as you are. You're collateral damage in the attack on them. Sucks but true.

Given that the FNO insists on being dealt with via the ISP, as a "stupid" end user, all we have is the ISP.
CISP is the FNO to you and me. I understand that TECHNICALLY this is false, but I don't pay for technicalities, I pay for service.
CISP replying tickets once a week (if you're lucky), having to sit in phone queues for 15+mins, and no feedback or transparency, really leaves me feeling pretty bitter.

Yep, that's my point exactly and which is why I left CISP. I still have the same issues (with Octotel) with my new ISP but they respond to tickets in a timely fashion at least.

It has been going on since January have spoken to lots of people including a so called manager. Then got apology from technical call centre guy who basically said cool ideas where not willing to do anything more. You should be able to pull the voice recordings.
Without a ticket I have no reference to the situation, this is why I ask.

Still happening all the time :

Awesome. Thank you for the clarification. Their lack to communicate possible risk then makes them liable for civil liability under South African law. Not a smart comment ;)

I as a person with networking knowledge know that in reality there's very little that can be done to mitigate a full on ddos unless you have significant resources to throw at it. In hard currency...

If you're not going to protect your clients and invest in technology to protect your network, you have no right in running and being an ISP.

No, I’m requesting this from you. I even sent you a mail. I expect you to read and respond accordingly.
Unfortunately I can't assist via the forum so please follow the respective procedure to avoid any delays.

Lol you're going to hold someone liable for a comment by a third party?

Good luck with that.

Not doubling down on anything just being transparent.

If you're being so transparent, then why don't you put up a notice on your website indicating the DDoS attack and that clients are being affected.

Hence why I sent you an official email which is an official support channel. Please read your email and respond.

A DDoS only gets diagnosed unfortunately after some time, to post prematurely creates a lot of false positives, as soon as it's confirmed we post the notice.
