Anyone here on Octotel in the Table View / Blouberg area? Did you notice any change to your line from yesterday at around 3pm? Looks like somebody did something at Octotel, my latency improved and didn't see any degradation last night like I usually do at peak hours.

Sorry about hijacking this thread but it's pretty active so thought I'd have luck here.

I can tell you that the same thing happened last week in Claremont/Southern Suburbs. Sunday was still a mess for me though.

No word from Octotel like always but suddenly I'm hitting 80mb/s to London during peak time. So maybe all @TheRoDent 's complaining has finally paid off?

Hello guys.

Could anyone on the frogfoot network.

Please run tests from this site : https://www.meter.net/ping-test/ for dallas, frankfurt,la,londen, new york and paris.

These are the results I get. Cool Ideas Support specifically Divian claims these are fine. There is no way 10% or less of my line speed is fine....

@PBCool @TheRoDent How can it be fine for met to get 10% or less of my line speed...

Thanks, Sunday was the worst I've seen it yet for me too. I don't want to get my hopes up but it definitely looks like something improved yesterday - time will tell though.

Meanwhile international:

Not 100Mbps - Speed Hetzner 10 Gig file.png
Hetzner download file. biggest spike was about 56Mbps, stable at ~4-4.5MB/s.

All directly connected to the ONT.

Also, what exactly is a full screenshot?

That test is way too short for the latency we have due to TCP window scaling.

Use e.g. https://testmy.net/download and you can set it to automated. Do test with multi threaded as well, it helps due to our high latency.

I'm only getting 15Mbps lol.

Shown one is MT, previous one is ST.

It was the tests I was asked to run by Divian.

Will try testmy.net when home as well. Have in the past and low results as well, the same with speedtest.

The reason I am asking for others on frogfoot to run the same test is to show him that if others are getting higher speeds then everything is definitely not fine...

Hope Cape Gate/Brackenfell is next! Getting around 50mb/s, a lot better than it was in the past.

Peak time (18:00 - 22:00) stats for me the last few days

Hey DeatheCore,

We are connected to the same pop, mind sending me some stuff via PM to test when you have issues, at least we can then compare.

Cheers

I'm on 200/200 Vumatel CPT and ever since iv been with cisp that site has never gotten great results for me. Heres some tests i ran now:

EDIT:
Just ran another set of MT tests and got decent results actually, albeit using a custom 200mb file size so that the speed can stabilize.

Not trying to support, but maybe indicate which Fibre Networks are at "home" and "work"...

@PBCool @TheRoDent @CoolChick Please have a look at ticket #COOL-20180711-122832

After months of claiming the issue was Frogfoot now your support is claiming my line is fine and there is nothing can be done...

Please explain what is going on...How are others getting much better international speeds but I can only get 10% of my line...

Good day Mr Steyn

I have asked my seniors to look into this and they state that the link is fine and there not much they can do.

Again I'm sorry for the inconvenience
