Just some feedback, must say my experience was good on CISP in Cape Town, but the last week was really good. At first I was unsure about the difference in the network here vs in Gauteng, but the speeds have somehow improved a lot, and now that latency to SAIX based IPs are low, I am happy as can be.

HI PBCool,

We just recently received fibre in our area and I originally signed up to get my fibre via VOX but it has taken an age and a turn for them to even come out and do a site inspection for the installation on the vumatel line, also I see on another thread that a lot of people are saying to stay away from Vox for fibre, So I have cancelled my request with VOX and just signed up on your website now.

I just want to find out if there is anything else I need to do from my side or will you guys organise to get the installation and site inspection with Vumatel done from your side?

Have you completed the online Vumatel application for the line installation?

All,

I signed up for the VOIP - and the support guys told me it would be Plug-and-Play as they would do the configuring. Seeing this claim made many times I prepared myself for a couple of hours on the phone with the support team to sort out issues.

I received the phone yesterday, plugged it in, and made a call. Worked instantly!!!! Well done guys, I really can say that this was an unexpected surprise in a world where Plug-and-Play is claimed many times, but very rarely delivered!

Regards

I have contacted vumatel now to change my original Vox installation to Cool Ideas, so will just need to wait for them to switch my application from VOX to you guys.

holding thumbs it does not take them that long
Cool if there are any delays let me know and I'll escalate where I can

Are there any issues on CISP atm on Vuma Aerial? Unable to stream 1080p or 720p on Kodi.

Anyone else on Octotel + CISP having abysmal performance the last week?

Down to 2mbps down from US servers. 2mbps.png (Paying for a 200/25)

Cool Ideas have a netflix node within their network, so must be some internal network issue or an underlying fibre issue.

Nothing we are aware of, have you logged it with us? A week is quite a period of time, which if it was network wide we would know about it.

Wait till Vox start shaping you :p
Feels like I been shaped from day 1, I'm only with them till the end of the month, then back to CISP. Could have been sooner if VOX's cancellations department knew their a55es from their elbows.

Thanks

Edit: Seems like that's done the trick, everything seems back to normal now
Thanks I don't think the operator has done anything as yet from our ticket. So long as it's resolved that's great.
