One of our carriers has switched to their Eassy route, so you will get random packets with the higher latency. We will probably disable this path in a little while if they don't switch back.

Ah okay, thanks for the reply. Will just hold off on gaming until then.

Yup, over a cable. Why would there be a distinct difference between local and international speedtests though, if there isn't something on CI side?

You can see your latency is 13ms to our router which is a last mile issue generally.

Agree, that is probably a separate issue, which SADV needs to be taken up on. (13ms ping)

Please check my original post earlier with my speed test results, I am getting 7Mbit down on international and 90Mbit on local, that is surely not last mile related.

If there is high latency on your last mile it's means there may be congestion and packet loss on their network, which then leads to poor international performance.

Ironically the carrier has failed completely which has resolved the latency inconsistency to London.

Yeap as mentioned one carrier is using the Eassy path. So random packets will take that path until they resolve the WACS side, try again for me?

In these scenarios more than half the traffic still uses WACS, but it's session sticky.

Still registering over 200ms in game though. Looks like ae1-br01-eqld5.blizzardonline.net could also be problematic seeing lots of spikes there.
 
Carrier resolved their WACS route later last night so it's back in the mix.

That 6 - 7ms best/average at your 2nd hop is questionable. Possible congestion on your last mile or a issue with your fibre?

There is no issue with my fibre or last mile,the reason for that is purely because our estate as a temporary microwave solution in place while the application for the DFA interconnect is processed. Even with the microwave link my latency in wow is about 170ms, last night it was over 240. As stipulated by CISP it was due the WACS route.

Latency to and from Level-7 is averaging around 163ms.
But testing from Ignite servers its around 22ms.
Is this due to the issue i PM'd you about where they are manually preferring routes instead of letting BGP do its job.
