mates father was certain on them, also im pretty sure they will sort their issues out just dont like being in the dark here over it. But hey most companies like to keep things calm over pannic on a mass scale.

DDoS existed from 9PM until 11PM this evening (this far) do you have any examples for me out of those times? And can you compare it to now?
@PBCool We have been complaining since Saturday that we have had random drops from most internationally hosted games from Europe (Division 2, WoW, Destiny 2, PUBG, Apex Legends etc.), Streaming seems to be an issue as well, packet loss is being reported everywhere. Many different Fibre providers, and the only common denominator here is Cool Ideas.

So yes there may have been a DDoS attach between 9pm and 11pm last night but what about the issues since saturday morning that everybody is reporting? Have you guys read back in the forum to see what people are complaining about and reporting? It really cannot be that hard to just go back a few pages and get yourselves up to speed?

TL;DR for you - Lots of people having issues with CI: Games have high latency/dropping connection, high packet loss, cant stream, lag/latency, since saturday...

Please can we have some feedback on what is going on? I am on Trenched Vuma, is it a Vuma issue? what about the people not on Vuma, is it another FNO's issue as well? Or is it a CI issue that can be resolved? There is clearly an issue and we just want to know what it is and when we can reasonably be expected to wait until for resolution or feedback on it?
 
Still waiting for feedback on when my international speed issue on frogfoot will be fixed....

Still not received proper feedback...Passing the buck to FF is not fixing the issue....

Looks like I'm not the only one. Overwatch also seems to have huge lag spike then lost connection.
 
Oh what a surprise @PBCool still not giving feedback on the issues since Saturday that everyone has been complaining about, look no announcement on their site. CI is joining the ranks of Crystal Web and Afrihost very fast.

Same issues as above, been having a hell of a time with inconsistent connections. Have logged a support ticket in the mean time (Before I saw this thread).

Why are you guys all blaming CISP and @PBCool for this ? I have friends on various different ISP's that we're all suffering from the exact same issue. Internet Solutions etc etc. You don't see any of their reps post and respond to the barrage of posts here ?

"Poor service bla bla, my connection bla bla". There's a plethora of issues that could be causing YOUR specific issue. In this instance it took them a day to pinpoint the issue and start addressing it.

I've been happy with CISP for the most part, and will continue to support them. Hopefully all the whiners can go to VOX or WebAfrica and get even great service there *lol*.

Bunch of little kids on here sometimes ...

Same here, only issue I had was while gaming when the DDOS was taking place. Got frequent connection errors and people moaning about my latency getting them killed in the game :p

Oh boy, so because you have had "great service" that some how gives you the right to call people who are paying for a service that isn't working children?

Before you ride in here on your white horse, why don't you go some pages back to where CI openly admitted that they've been having issues on their network since Saturday hmm? IS well, CI is still routing JHB customers from the looks of it via IS, curious that was meant to be changed weeks ago according to @TheRoDent yet here we still stand with the IS backbone.

Sorry, but your good experience does not trump everyone else's poor experience, we are paying a premium and we expect a tiny iota of customer support. CI give nothing but excuses. Their tech support is actually worse than Web Africa and Afrihost, you'd swear they employ the same people. The only time you actually get a minor technical input is when you come and whine to the guys on the forums. It really should not be like that.

My wife was streaming netflix and the kids on youtube with minimal disruption as it only occasionally dropped packets. Do you even understand how it works ? For gaming dropping packets is a killer. Streaming content, not so much.

We don't give a flying **** what your wife or kids were able to do. As you can see a tonne of the people in this thread are gamers and were unable to do that because of all the issues.
Further to that our tickets were ignored and we were left in the dark.
Is this explanation enough or should I get the crayons out?

The very fact that CI have still not given any feedback is just a clear indication as to how they view their clients. Unfortunately for me they're the best ISP out of all the **** ISP's our fibre provider supports.

I strongly doubt having a better connection would improve your 0.5KD by the sound of things. I think they have standard SLA's on their ticket responses - perhaps check that and then come cry here.

You have some anger issues man ...
