Just a small note on your website
Under the home capped accounts you have
225GB anytime + unlimited from midnight – 6am
Under the business capped you have
225GB anytime + unlimited data from midnight – 6am
The word "data" is extra, maybe just add it to the options too for consistency.
Yes, you now get extra peak gigs, pay less money, and have unlimited midnight data.![]()
On the business capped account, I see it allows 4 concurrent connections.
Is there any speed throttling that occurs when there are 2 connections? I am assuming not since there isn't any speed limit attached to the account in the first place.
Crystal Web has cut its ADSL pricing by up to 50%, while increasing the data caps on selected products.
The ISP has also added free unlimited Midnight Express data to certain products, and lowered network contentions, it said.
“Crystal Web’s home clients now benefit from unlimited Midnight Express data which is consumed in data sessions that start between midnight and 6am every day,” said the ISP.
Usage within these hours has been zero-rated for all home and standard business capped customers, and is not considered towards the Fair Usage Policy of uncapped products.
Business ADSL packages will also benefit from price cuts, with uncapped packages receiving discounts of up to 50%.
Crystal Web has slashed its DSL data pricing and increased data caps across their product range. As a part of the internet service provider's on-going network expansion and commitment to passing savings on to its customers, Crystal Web has reduced its prices by up to 50% on some products, while increasing its data caps, adding free unlimited Midnight Express data on products, and lowering network contentions.
Crystal Web CEO Shaun Kaplan explains that it's important to pass on savings to customers to remain competitive, and having recently quadrupled the service provider's network capacity, they are now in a position to pass on these benefits to end users.
"It's always been our ambition to remain competitive based on our network performance, which we've achieved in 2015. We're now geared to maintain existing quality levels at even lower price-points, something we believe should be passed on to end users on both the business and home fronts. The ISP space is a volume-based business and the greater volume we push through our network, the more efficiently we can operate it, which is why we have made the decision to reduce costs substantially to our end users without having to sacrifice on network performance."
Crystal Web's home clients now benefit from unlimited Midnight Express data which according to Kaplan is all data (no matter the protocol) that is consumed in data sessions that start between midnight and 6am every day. "Usage within these hours has been zero-rated for all home and standard business capped customers, and is also not considered towards the Fair Usage Policy (FUP) of any uncapped products on the network" says Kaplan. Crystal Web has also greatly reduced the price of these accounts, with standard business capped data being reduced by up to 50%, and home capped pricing being reduced by up to 30%, while adding unlimited midnight data to these packages.
So quick question... Why is there no price decrease on the bundle package? At least the website still reflects the current pricing... :/
Secondly, whats the portal login email address? My billing email address or the CW dsl address? And the password?
Been investigating moving over to a 10mb account and line with a cheaper ISP , but have decided to stay on 4mb home premium. It just works , all the time, it's fantastic. Keep up the good work guys .
Cool, thanks for the update. It is slightly cheaper to unbundle but then I have to fight with Telkom when I have issues. I far prefer having you guys fight the good fight for me instead
.
Home premium uncapped has not changed in terms of price, however we've operated these accounts for nearly 3 months now as nearly entirely unshaped and are testing continuing to do so. So we've behind the scenes been giving back considerably on this front for some time already, and there is more to come about this from us. Home uncapped haven't been left behind in anything...
Maybe I am misreading their pricing? Last I knew Telkom line rental is R189 + CW Home Premium Uncapped R429 = R618. TBH I have not actually priced around and my GoogleFU might be letting me down.
