CW all the way. They have more overseas redundancy

Which CW package are you on? I assume Vumatel as well in Blairgowrie?

Would you be so kind as to do some speed tests / latency tests / tracerts / ping plotters etc and posting the results here? Or is that asking to much sir?
 
How do I stop the data from Telkom and just have the line?

Migrate the line to us and cancel your data package with them. Fibre lines are treated identically to DSL lines in terms of their transfer to and fro ISPs, and the data is provisioned the same way so between fibre and DSL there is really no difference to an ISP nor to you, at least from an admin perspective. Performance there is.

I feel we will have a problem as we signed the 7/24 month contract to take advantage of the free installation. I guess there's no way out of that one now :(

What are you gonna realistically use internet at home for during that time of day anyway? The same thing as they will be, if anything.

I work from home, I cannot afford the k@k that openweb put us through. You guys need to convince me that my day will be as flawless as my night.

I take it CW is now an ISP Vumatel, is CW planning on being on Fibrehoods as well?

Yes to both but that is relatively old news as we've been live on Vumatel for months now. Today's announcement was much bigger than that.

I sincerely hope that CW looked at their business plan correctly, because I can see a bunch of noobs jumping on and raping the network from 12 to 6 on a daily basis even though they would actually only watch/use 5% of the k@k downloaded.

It reminds me of these people that are 10 meals ahead and 20 k@ks behind loading their plates at an all you can eat buffet!

Remember that maybe 10% of their customers actually know how to schedule things and what caps actually are.

Probably more like 1%.

It's the other 90% that bring in the money.

Also it means the network should be so much better between 18:00 and 23:59 when we actively use it.

100/100 uncapped vumatel

Where would you like me to do tests to?
