Cancelled and moved back to afrihost after 10 days, slow throughput and terrible streaming with netflix, showmax and youtube, perfectly fine on afrihost, so much for the grass being greener, this on a premium capped account.
 
strange. My netflix performance is flat out 100mbps as tested on fast.com

Have you read the AH thread, this is what their users were complaining of over the weekend, are you sure that you were on CW when testing those services? Streaming this weekend was flawless for me on CW.
 
Also have a speed issue at the moment. Basic browsing is crawling. Will wait till tonight to see if it's fixed

I moved from Afrihost to CW, CW turns out to be worse for me, and yes I am sure. Getting full line speed on Afrihost now, CW was just over half my line speed on speed tests, seems like shaping on capped accounts.
 
He's not the only one. My streaming used to run full line speed, now it mostly runs 2-6Mbps. And Crystal Web are still maintaining their radio silence. They're also still maintaining their broken usage report emails, so it's impossible to know how much data I've used. Crystal Web are making it really, really hard to like them these days.
 
Telkom 100mb fibre still an issue on CW. 10mb speeds in day time. 60 odd after 1800.

Full speed on VoX.

Even from CW premium news server only getting 10mbs!

EDIT; When performance on AH is better than CW...

I just tested, and my NNTP downloads are also capped at 10Mbps. It won't go higher than 9.9Mbps.
 
Guys, can the IS logs be trusted to work out how much data you have used during peak hours? I've asked Live Chat and I'm not getting straight answers. Really grating me when that data usage cannot be checked, and the data that IS says I've used is almost half of what CW says I've used.

So strange. Was the exact opposite for me last month.

Terrible on Afrihost and then would switch to CW and it would be perfect.

This month been on CW from the start and haven't had a single drama.

I just asked live chat for my usage and it correlates perfectly with the data on isdsl.net.

And mine doesn't. They claimed 44gb when IS shows 15gb. When I asked if the IS logs can be trusted, I got this reply:

The usage mailer is in the processes of being updated to send clear usage to the customers, I apologize for any inconveniences caused by this.
 
So something interesting ... just got given a 5Gb capped test account ...


Streaming has not dropped below 7mbps and is maxing out at 10mbps often ... ... Seems like there might be an issue with the Premium Uncapped accounts

Can't argue with the IS logs - that's the root source.

It's a bit of a PITA, but go day by day and cut and paste the data from is.dsl into Excel and ask CW support to explain the difference to you

Edit: Just remember to account for possible differences between the cut off times ie if you start a big download near the end of the uncapped period and radius (I think) cuts in before you started that big d/l, it will count towards your cap.

eg. Uncapped stops at 18h00, you initiate d/l at 17h59, but unknown to you, radius actually cut over at 17h57, then everything initiated after 17h57 counts towards your capped.
