I used up all my daytime cap (which is fine as I have a backup).

Problem is I my scheduled downloads from 12-6 also failed this morning. Timeouts to servers all round.

Can't imagine this is right?

Doesn't sound right at all. Can you send me your username by PM?

Why am I having such bad latency spikes while gaming (battlefield, heroes of the storm, rocket league) in the day but then as soon as it is 6-7 in the evening then it becomes better. I am on Home Premium so thought I have priority bandwidth for gaming but this happens all week round.

There are absolutely no network issues on our side so the only way to know would be to hop on to our support chat system and run through some testing with an agent in real-time when the issue happens. There is also absolutely no network management automations that happen at the time in question so there's nothing on our side that we're necessarily doing that could result in this...

Alright cool just did that now and seems it is as always something got to do with the exchange but Telkom are terrible at responding to faults logged and I doubt a port reset is going to cure this issue.

The problem is that typically with exchange congestion, it's simply not viewed as a fault by them. We do have a support article written for this sort of thing which helps to explain in a little more depth - http://support.crystalweb.co.za/hc/en-us/articles/203383992-Exchange-Congestion

I want to upgrade to 4 meg from 2 meg. Who do I contact at Crystal, and who at Telkom would be the quickest to get it done? I know Crystal will be fast, but I can guarantee you if I send them a mail, it'll take a week, and if I call them I'll hold for a week.

Any way Crystalweb can use their influence?

Thanks that article pretty much sums up all of my frustrations that I have been having with them since living here. We are two big complexes living next to each other connecting to the same exchange so I am sure it gets congested regularly and they really should of just invested into upgrading it properly.

Unless the line is migrated to us we cannot touch the sync profile. As for the data account, that's instant and can be done by mailing sales or support, or using live chat for sales or support...

Just got onto live chat like 2 minutes ago, chatting with "support sergeant" right now.

I have just subscribed to Crystal Web's 4Mbps Home Premium Uncapped account and I'm a bit dissapointed by the Pingtest results that I'm getting. I was previously with Web Africa on their 90Gb capped account and the Pingtest always indicated a grade 'B' quality line. After setting my router up with my new Crystal Web details I immediatley did another Pingtest and it came back that the line quality is grade 'C'.......
I notice that on both Pingtests that Internet Solutions are shown under the IP address, so why the difference in line qualities? I was expecting Crystal Web to be the same as the Web Africa quality, the Speedtest results are pretty much the same between the two ISP's at 3.45 Mbps.
I had problems with when I was with Afrihost as their line quality was grade 'D' and I moved to Web Africa because of that. Maybe I should stay with Web Africa?

We've been experiencing the same thing for the past week or so, which is worrying. CrystalWeb have been amazing, but we're experiencing terrible latency while gaming (Heroes of the Storm/Guild Wars 2). I really hope this isn't another AfriHost in the making...

Been playing mainly D3 and aside from Blizzard's issues I have been fine.

Just to note: GW2 recently made changes in the way their network traffic works which is supposed to smooth over higher ping interactions but people report that it has been made worse. See here: https://forum-en.guildwars2.com/forum/support/support/Latency-Tuning-Experiments/first#post5506243

Blizzard on the other hand have a general notice up for all their games for latency issues, which are Telia related. See here: http://eu.battle.net/hearthstone/en/forum/topic/15939954430
