Averaging 270KB/s here on a 10Mbps line, it looks like exactly the same issue us people in the south had previously - everyone gets limited to X
 
Hope CW sorts this out with their upstream provider who manages these accounts...

Or they take ownership of them themselves to manage.

Can we please get an official update for the CT folks regarding streaming issues? Online support always seems to end with something along the lines of "needs further investigation"

Yup, rate limited it seems.

My netflix throughput is the same, 20 meg VDSL.

Seems like the upstream provider has put a "cap" on things.

The thing that irritates me is there is no pattern to it.

So I can only surmise that it depends on network load. At some point something kicks in that completely rate limits the account as a whole and not just certain services. Which is total bloody BS.

I know these accounts aren't managed by CW, but I'd like someone from CW explain how these works in terms of what will and won't get shaped because right now these accounts do not perform in line with the FAQ.

So any information would be welcome!

How's the performance on the Home Basic Uncapped 10mb for streaming? I don't download often (but when I do I usually schedule it for after streaming hours) and only game online occasionally.

This will be used almost exclusively for streaming...

Is it worth it?

Also... I'm based in Durban, if that makes any difference?

On this account it's basically the same as WA Home Uncapped

not about what you use it for, it's about when and how much you use.

Ok, thanks for the info! Do you know if the AUP limits are similar to that of WA, or are they more stringent?
 
It's sad to see that CrystalWeb's presence on this forum is starting to follow a certain other ISP that they said they would never become. :(

I wonder what the competition has to offer...
 
Anyone here using the business uncapped accounts, how are they on downloading torrents and NZB's? I need to move from business premium capped because it is simply to expensive for the amount of data I need...
