To the home capped subscribers, how often during the day, in work hours, do your downloads run unshaped? I'm thinking of moving to the 1TB home capped account with a 10Mb line.

What kind of downloads? NNTP never run full line speed before download plus kicks in maybe sometimes during a weekend if I am really lucky. Normal driver downloads or updates usually go full line speed though.

HTTP, which usually consists of PDF docs and drivers, or the occasional torrent (currently looking for a GTA V Steam backup that I can download now while I wait for my key). Mostly just browsing, streaming Youtube, that sort of thing - I work from home. On uncapped home premium right now and Steam is maxing out my line, while streaming from Twitch bobs up and down and Youtube normally doesn't go above 2Mb/s for 720p30 on a 4Mb line.

Twitch is really good my side currently streaming on high with no issues. Streaming in general though is usually very good.

Has anyone noticed slow P2P speeds, or is it just me, more specifically during the midnight hours on Home Capped accounts? Whenever I check, I'm getting about 5% of line speed during the midnight hours. It's about the same speed in daytime with the occasional spike to 25% of line speed. NNTP on the other hand runs at 100% of line speed during the midnight hours.

Finally found the issue. A while ago, month or 2, there were some issues and someone suggested in these threads that we should use the Google DNS settings. I filled them in and never bothered about it again. Changed to "obtain dns from ISP" and my P2P went from 10kbps to 40 kbps almost immediately now.

Now, the question is, does anyone know what CW's DNS settings are? Live chat seems to be off at the moment.

So just wanna post a question again, Do business accounts allow for downloading during the day cause I sometimes download during the day :/ Better to go for business premium uncapped or home uncapped premium?

Has anyone cancelled with Cw? What is the process and notice period? Thinking of jumping to the Vox 100gb deal

Click General Help and Information from bottom-right > DNS Problems > What are the CW DNS addresses?

They are 168.210.2.2 and 196.14.239.2.

Downloads are shaped during the day, on every product.

Click General Help and Information from bottom-right > DNS Problems > What are the CW DNS addresses?

They are 168.210.2.2 and 196.14.239.2.

Thanks very much!

Hmmm...as far as I know business capped isn't shaped? Maybe if you use the IS or CW news server, but not from paid for services.

Before 19th of the month

Are you sure? I cancelled my home capped last month on the 17th and still got billed for this month, figured it was one calendar month like the rest. They never actually told me when the account would be deactivated, not a very informative cancellation process.

You are incorrect. Business Premium uncapped here, and pretty much full speeds 24/7.

Apologies, I read wrong. I asked support which package should give me no issues with P2P, got told "Any package that doesn't shape downloads, and most of them do".

No worries, honestly I only use http. Only time p2p is used is with certain game updates that use it.
So all I can say is with streaming and http downloads, its always full speed. Especially since the big upgrade in CT.

Yeah, HTTP is awesome and generally I have no issues, in fact everything is awesome. The only problem is with P2P. I'm currently getting 2kbps with CW, and full speeds (404 kbps) with another ISP's home capped account (this at 1am, it's usually at about 20kbps at 5am). There was a glimmer of hope when I used Crystal Webs DNS (the speeds increased to 40kbps in the daytime). Anyway, I've mailed this off to support.
