Only get an 1/8th of my download speed. Linden area.

Doing a power cycle on the router now before I chat to support.

I'm seeing some slowdown in Gauteng at the moment but the shaper is not kicking in at all and capacity is well below shaping thresholds, so this is something else entirely.

I do see something coming from the international guys now.

Can you download this for me (make sure it's coming from local) - http://www.ubuntu.com/download

Looks like there's something not quite right on the international side at the moment but only on the one link so not affecting all areas...

Gauteng - Alberton area. YouTube and local seems fine. International is a bit off. Not at pc to try download link.

It's off our network that we directly control so I've reported this to the relevant guys to sort out. Not all traffic is impacted and not all areas either, so will need to await their feedback and resolution.

I must apologise though if you don't hear back from me tonight. On some heavy meds that feel like they've definitely started working now and struggling to keep my eyelids open...

Yesterday and still today it's pretty bad latency wise :( Streaming is fine, downloads too, gaming though, not a chance. Seems to happen every 2 weeks odd.

Hey MH - there's an issue with the fibre link there going into the DC - it's why DBN went down briefly the other day. There's a cutover planned to take place on 23 October to a new fibre link which is on our website which will help to sort this one out for you in KZN...

Do you guys offer Pro Rata billing on the Uncapped accounts? I'm looking to test the account out to see if it will suit my needs, and I want to be able to upgrade or cancel before the next month.

I have already paid Afrihost this month and I want to be able to cancel that for next month if the account suits my needs.

Yes, all uncapped is billed pro-rata in the 1st month...
 
Have the issues with capped data been solved? (I remember a lot of complaints earlier this year.) I'm asking because I'm toying with the idea of buying a VDSL modem and I'm wondering if performance of the capped data will be in line with what I've been experiencing with home premium.

Anyone else unable to do any windows updates? I am on capped premium and its just not working. 3 different pc's with windows 7 and 10. It's stuck on checking for updates and refuses to update. Everything else works 100%
 
FYI there is a jailbreak out for IOS 9.0.2

So since CW is supposedly the network for pirates there will probably be a large amount of downloads happening tonight getting the IPSW files :D
