An incorrect cancellation confirmation email was sent to numerous customers. Apologies. A test email group was accidentally loaded up during some dev testing and fired off. I've had some choice words with the guys. This is an error on our part and my apologies for any confusion in this regard...

Glad I checked here before biting someone on Live Chat :p

What are your devs doing testing on a live database? o.0

Anyways cool, no prob.

They were testing the API calls to a transactional email smtp server and ran an incorrect script, supposedly. Landed up sending the mails off via one of our other systems instead. Was a cock-up, and human error. They're still chained to the desk and today's punishment is pizza ordered for everyone, and they have to eat salad instead...

haha, brilliant. Just make sure they have a supply of RedBull handy.

Regarding usage stats: The last update we get for a month, is always at around 4AM on the last day of the month. Obviously 20 hours of the month still need to pass after that. But the next statement we receive, is on the first at the same time, but that only reports the new month's usage, which is 4 hours old.

Thus, those last 20 hours of the previous month is never reflected to us. We never see it. Are you guys gonna change that too?

Yes we will be changing that as the mails will no longer be the primary source of usage data...

Oh dear lord... so that portal will be our only source of 'info'? :wtf:

No, the mails will also be available. I certainly didn't intend it as such. Rather that we can't send mails hourly so the portal will be the most up to date source of information...

I was implying that the portal is a mess. I even made a post about it in here, and showed you a screenshot as per your request. That was months ago.

I have said that portal is certainly not the final code and we're sitting with the devs now to deploy the bigger changes...

We know it's a mess :P But they're obviously working on it. These things take time, a lot of time. I was involved with a much larger ISP, changes like this took ages. So a smaller less resourced workforce (assumingly), it's understandable.

Mails are fine for me, for now, I don't really need to use the portal urgently.
