Anyone else seeing poor performance tonight? Getting 10Mbps down on a 40Mbps line. Just me?

Have you been on chat? Because the pipes are running beautifully and all metrics show no issues whatsoever across any regions...

And when you say 10Mbps down, do you mean on speedtest, a specific download? Is your line sync still at 40Mbps? Line stats?

Any data helps to pin-point an issue for you, but it's certainly not a network related issue on our side...

Nope not yet. Wanted to confirm whether it's an issue on my side before bothering support. I'll have a look tomorrow to see whether speeds have improved.

Never a bother. It's what the guys are there for to be honest. Even if it's not on our end we can assist in most cases...

We know it's a mess :P But they're obviously working on it. These things take time, a lot of time. I was involved with a much larger ISP, changes like this took ages. So a smaller less resourced workforce (assumingly), it's understandable.

Mails are fine for me, for now, I don't really need to use the portal urgently.

Yeah but then they shouldn't really reply with "It is being fixed soon". Rather tell us it will take months.

I've been using the IS DSL portal for my usage stats, I just copy the details from there and drop it into a spreadsheet, then I can slice it any which way that I want to. The results from there seems to tie up pretty much with the daily emails sent out.

Will us guys on Home Capped be updated to the new packages, or do we need to do it manually with support?

This was already done for you guys before we announced the changes, and there is nothing required from your end. We took care of it all on our side behind the scenes for everyone...:)

Nice one, thanks, works for me as well.

Yeah, I'm pretty much not going to use the portal for usage stats anymore if this functionality stays in place. Having the CSV files on hand makes things a lot easier for me.

Why is supersport streaming so bad? I can't even get HD and I'm on business uncapped premium :/

On Afrihost Business it also looks crap. Anything else I can stream 1080p no problem. Really wish it was possible to select the quality manually.

Then streaming isn't the issue as any shaping (which isn't being applied) is done on a protocol basis. So you need to look at the source in this case. With rugby world cup finals I suspect their servers and bandwidth are being hit really hard today...
