Crystal Web ADSL performance feedback thread Part 3...

News Server unstable??

For the past few weeks I keep getting 'Article not found' or even worse simply incomplete files not fixable using par.
Anyone else experiencing this or have any ideas?

Ye, NGN had corrupt data on its servers, but was apparently resolved.

Switch over to the IS news server. Havn't had any issues on that server (so far)

100% correct to the above. Upgrades, which is what this is all about, are always a good thing for everyone. However hop on to live chat if there's an issue that you identify as it's too easy to attribute something to maintenance that could be something we can actually help out with...

Its the same in our business ie Cellphone business. Most people refuse to update their software, but its generally a good thing even if there are bugs that creep in. For the most part, the updates normally fixes things rather than break them.
 
So trying the test account. Works Great so far expect g2a.com does not work on crystal web. On my Telkom account its works fine.

What's up with that?

On the games I play, I have had the best latency ever and it is stable 99% of the time (can never say 100% xD)

Never used G2A but trying to go to g2a.com just sits and loads nothing. I googled the site and went to the English US marketplace, which came up almost instantly.

My counter strike ping was halved so that was great.
I will probably sign up for an account .
The g2a thing seems to be related to certificates or dns.so I hope they can sort this out as I don't want to find out later that there a whole host of sites I can't view.

They are top rated isp by mybb so I am sure that counts for a lot.

Strange, that website loads fine on my pc, 4meg Premium Uncapped, maybe try with google's DNS & Crystal Web's DNS, or just chat to support

g2a.com loads fine on my 4meg Home Premium Uncapped too. I am using Google dns.
 
So...any more details on the upgrades?

Just want to know it all went smoothly and without a hitch?

How is the portal coming along?
 
Still finishing off a few bits and pieces, hence why I've not slept yet. But just about complete. Impact should have been absolutely minimal though. Portal is also looking good. If I can find the energy I'll try to get some new code out today for you guys...

Yes, it may if the problem is related to the port or specific routing infrastructure on the IMAX you're on...

Don't even get me started! I rarely post about another company's poor service as I always give them a chance to rectify first. This one takes the cake though...
