Wait, I can expect a 70ms decrease in D3 latency??

Thanks DJ for looking into the WoW latency issue just hope blizzard don't take their time fixing the problem.

Interesting re: latency issues with Blizzard services. Must say I personally haven't noticed any real issues per se. Latency is typically 250-260ms on my VDSL connection. Don't pay that much attention but can't recall ever seeing it below 200ms anyway.

On another topic. There any progress/news on the CW website+portal? Anything new incoming?

260 is high

So after back and forth between various parties in the EU I now have a definitive answer about what is happening with Blizzard traffic on Zayo's network.

Contrary to Blizzard's claims, they are advertising the USA route to Zayo themselves. It has nothing to do with any link failures and other related issues on Zayo's network.

Here is the exact quote from Zayo's netops guys:

So after contact with Blizzard, they have stated the following:

We did not receive a time frame for this resolution but the bottom line is that it is an issue with the way that Blizzard are announcing their routes to various parties in the EU, and they are advertising the USA route themselves which at this point they have not changed and Zayo cannot change. We are however now in communication with the guys now directly but Blizzard do not appear able to provide definitive time-frames for their solution just yet.

I hope this helps you guys out to take the matter further with Blizzard, as we will also attempt to do, but know that this has nothing to do with our network and is absolutely not something that we can control...

Thanks, DJ, for going above and beyond for your customers! :D :D :D

A question for all the gamers, who are having these Latency issues with Blizzard. Has it been fixed in the last 3 hours or so? Because as far as I can tell latency is back in the 190 - 200 ms range.

Next, how many have run the "reverse tests" available on the Blizzard website? (Looking Glass)

VERY revealing set of numbers come from those tests ...... (so no more :erm:)

Shew, check the latency on this Level 3 link

7 ae-116-3502.edge3.London1.Level3.net (4.69.166.134) 17.810 ms 17.789 ms 17.785 ms
8 INTERNET-SO.edge3.London1.Level3.net (195.50.124.34) 82.773 ms 82.075 ms 82.102 ms

I'm still on 300ms :( I subbed for a month of WTFast though, so hopefully it won't take Blizzard more than a month fix their routing.

Not bad, eh?

Latency to UK servers is averaging between 180 and 200ms for me.. If I ping www.swimgeek.com on my CW account, I get about 182ms.

Pinging it on Vox is aparently around 155ms.. other guys are reporting lower pings even on Mweb and Telkom to that same site.

CW comes in at the highest. Is 180 odd ms the lowest possible attainable ping to the UK on CW?

@DJ... - Home capped is prioritized higher than basic uncapped right?

Also...can you skip RICA for non-SA residents?

Need to stick my parents on a new package but billing goes to me...
